Obsession
This story was really slow at the beginning. I literally stopped watching several times and kept going because of all the good reviews. But it really picked up around episode 15 and I just kept watching. The only part I didn't understand was Suying's obsessions and her refusal to see that she is unhinged. Because of her obsession with a man who didn't want her, she was used to attack the dragon who was ready to marry her. She then justified her actions by calling him and all demons evil when they were just existing. And everyone was like, yup let's agree with her. No other human was like, wait didn't you attack him, how is he evil? Because of her obsession with the man, she killed his wife in front of him and was mad that he still didn't want to be with her. Everything she did was supposedly for the man but she just couldn't get over the fact that he didn't want her or that the dragon ultimately got away.
These people ignored the fact that the whole family was crazy and just let her do whatever.
And the Phantom Lord, what was wrong with him? Why was he giving off hunchback drag queen?

Great!
I came onto this series becasue of a clip of Commander Tan entering the party at the Mu Mansion. I literally said, "is he the bad guy, I have fallen already." And his character in the series didn't disappoint. I think he is the type of character all the domineering CEOs are trying to emulate but just not getting it right. His character was crafty and funny and lovable at the same time. I loved when he outsmarted everyone at every turn.I am not a fan of female characters in CDramas at all. I don't like the baby talk or the pouting or acting like a 4 year old (hence my Little Four was my least favorite character and the only one I really couldn't tolerate at all.) But the female lead was smart, strong and honest. I thought she did great. I didn't think I would like her because I found her a little sanctimonious in the first episode but she quickly grew on me.
I liked this series all the way to the end, for the most part. I thought it got a little draggy between 24-30 episodes and they fell into the trope-y breakup because of what happened in the past that had nothing to do with the other person. So cliche but that was soon shown to be something else entirely.

It was good until it wasn't
I really liked this drama overall. I liked all the characters and the actors. I liked the storyline for the most part. Actually until it got to the 2nd or maybe it was the 3rd time she broke up with him, if you count five years ago, it might have been the 4th or 5th time. This drama was very trope-y. The breaking up because you were eavesdropping and didn't wait to hear the whole conversation is overdone and I think that was when I was like, hmm. By episode 22, I was skipping forward most of the episodes. But, 22 out of 28 isn't bad when you think about the first 21 episodes were actually enjoyable. The last six wasn't bad they were just predicable.
But, no I wouldn't watch it again.

I don't know how I am going to make it through.
I agree with the other reviews, I am only sticking this drama out because of the ML. He is literally carrying the whole drama on his back. The FL isn't a horrible actress, I just think her character is really bad. I don't get the draw of having a grown woman act like a twelve-year old helpless child. They dress her like a child and it's kind of cringy how they want these lead actresses to be child-like. And her best friend is annoying too. And she looks like she is wearing a filter, either it's a filter or she is totally disguising her face and it looks a porcelain doll and not in a good way. I kept expecting her face to glitch and there be some old lady in her place.Hopefully I can make it through all the episodes but I don't see myself ever rewatching it.

It was good to me.
Really good. I liked all the characters and especially shipped the main couple. I really didn't like the professor and the intern getting together. Their relationship was sorta cringy. Not because of the age gap but because she was so invested that she came off as a stalker at times. I feel like he just gave in because she wore him down. Another thing was I didn't think they should have done that to the ex-boyfriend. I understand he cheated because he thought the other girl would be able to help him more but he saw before long that he wasn't happy with the other girl. They could have just left him to wallow in his grief.I was also liking that the main couple wasn't falling into tropey plots until the break up and I thought that one was a real force at that time. Especially when he blocked her but got mad when she deleted his contact.

Go Ahead and watch it.
I really enjoyed this series from beginning to mostly the end. Not that I didn't like the end, it was just a little drawn out. I liked all the characters. Everyone thinks the Ling Dad is the stronger one because he is a police officer but he is continuously bullied by Li Dad. Their arguments are so funny. The plot was predictable but I still liked watching it.
I think Ling Xiao has PTSD from his sister's death and the subsequent imploding of his mother. I don't like the fact that it was never resolved and he sort of uses JianJian as a crutch or a lifesaver for when he goes through episodes.
I hated his mother from the very first episode and I hated her to the end. She was so selfish.

Really Like this Series
I found out about this title because I really am not a fan of cdramas and the way the cinderella always comes off as a helpless little girl. The little girl act, I assume is preferred by those in the country, is kind of creepy. So I don't watch them at all. The male leads are always better to me. I researched to find some more mature Cdramas because I didn't want to just give up and this is the first series out of the list that I started watching. That was 16 hours ago and now I am on episode 14.I really like this series, I like the two male leads. I think both of them are extremely handsome with great characters. I actually think Liu Qing is the more handsome because I really like his personality, always smiling though he hides so much pain. Of the two female leads, I didn't like Wan Qing at all. You told your father to pick any husband then you complained about the husband he picked. But as she softened more to her husband, her personality began to grow on me. I don't like JunDie, she's aggravating. She looks like a started puppy and acts like one. I think what I don't like most is she behaves like the cinderella that thinks she is tough but probably gets beat up all the time, especially by life. Seriously don't like her character.
Will update this review as I complete the series.

Great watch!
I really enjoyed this series a lot. Every person acted well and there was very few predictable portions. I predicted that Song Yan was going to have to save someone in the fl family in order for them to not be upset about their relationship. But I didn't predict that the brother wouldn't fall for the FL's lookalike. I was sure he would be stupid and I am glad that he wasn't. I was disappointed that the FL picked the reason for arguing with the ml. It was the most random reason that was obviously pulled out of a hat and made no sense. It was mine only beef with the show as a whole. Was this review helpful to you?

It's a no for me
I went to watch this drama because I got the name of it from a list of mature Chinese dramas, it definitely wasn't. From the first scene I knew it wasn't going to happen for me. The female lead did nothing but yell in her irritating voice from the beginning. I watched Go Go Squid and couldn't stand her in that drama but I finished it because of the male lead. I was really hoping this would be the same but she literally was so annoying in every scene. Why is she so loud?! and immature? No wonder her boyfriend not only left her but quit his job to get away from her.I would watch it to see if I like the male lead enough to continue it but he is barely in the first episode so my idea is the series is based around the female lead and that is just too much for me. Seriously why are Chinese female leads so childish?
