I've read the novel and tbh there's nothing amazing about it. Kant and Bison definitely are the pair with the mature and spicy themes (BDSM) and unfortunately, Style and Fadel are the typical lovey-dovey pair which I would say is getting boring for Joong and Dunk.
I can't seem to believe that they understand each other (literally speaking) as they are conversing in different langauges. It put me off, but maybe it's just me.
I'm a week late and let me just say that the cinematography of this drama is chef's kiss. As a person who is deeply fascinated by the works behind the camera, I was instantly impressed and satisfied by the editing, cinematography, and coloring of 4 Minutes.
Be On Clouds never disappoints when it comes to quality production. Even if they're small production company compared to others, they produce really well-made series. I liked that they do not hold back on the budget lol.
Is it just my heart that gets tugged by the music at the end of every ep? The first time I heard it I just couldn't help myself from tearing up gosh. It's really familiar, I just can't pinpoint what it is. One of the best OSTs I've heard!
Okay but in all honesty though comparing The Eclipse with this one does not really make sense as they have different genres. This is slice of life. I would understand if you compared this to My Only 12 %, My School President, MLMU, etc. since they’re somehow closer in terms of the genre.
And PS, it does not mean that they both take place in a school they fall under the same genre
It was okay! It's a bit tedious if you're expecting a fast-paced romance where the two leads hit off after how many chapters. The story is not unique/different from other slice of life novels if you know what I mean. Still, it's a good story for beginners (I read a lot of stories already).
ok i truly wanted to like this series because of its similarity to stay with me. i even tried watching ep 4 twice…
To be fair, the novel is the same. It's slice of life not romance (the main genre). It's not the type that focuses on the relationship of the two but their individual development, how they affect each other and the people around them, coming to terms with their sexuality, the baggage they have, and other realization esp of the parents.
as I've said here, I'm not a fan of school BLs, but the problem isn't just that I think they spend too much time,…
To be fair, in the novel, it's really the same. Because Sheng Wang was a transferred student ergo he needed to catch up with the curriculum.
And the scenes where they do homework at home, it's actually part of the plot. Like the gradual development of the two: from studying in separate rooms to studying in one room. And because the walls were thin, they both hear each other like when the other is not finished studying and the likes.
Details like that actually shows the progression of their relationship. I think you're used to fast-paced relationships in BLs that you miss out on these details.
Well because the novel did discuss a lot of school stuff. The novel basically revolved around school life and that's world building. They're students so naturally they're in school all of the time, showing the happenings of a student. The genre of this is slice of life, please be reminded.
I think you expect this to be like Addicted Heroin, in that drama, they're students but it doesn't really show. Like most of the time the people are in the classroom, sleeping, etc.
If you read the novel, their relationship starts later on as they started as strangers, then friends, then lovers, to ex lovers, then lovers.
I just finished reading today and I'm confused when you stated that their relationship "caused too much angst for others." What angst to others, though?
Just read the reviews and I’m confused why they say the ending was bad and that they should have communicated more?? I’m confused if I watched the same series or not
I hope the adaptation is better than this.
