i almost passed on this but it turned out to be super cute. the first half was actually perfect. sang ha is a great character and i really enjoyed the chemistry between the leads. things become a bit more messy in the second half of the plot as i was struggling to understand their actions/motivations. overall an enjoyable watch
once i got over the intial cringe kneejerk reaction this was pretty cute and silly. also that might be one of the most drastic size differences ive seen between bl leads lol, im somewhat disappointed they didnt do more with it
well this was a disappointing nosedive after history3. its just weird that it retreads old ground so much like we already had a fujoshi plotline and stepbrothers relationship in history1 and 2, only this time the execution is even more unsavory. cringe aside the main couple is still pretty cute at least, but the side couple is just ugh. the younger brother speaks and acts like a psychopath so watching them get together felt like psychological horror
i dont mind sad endings but this one was just terrible and im still salty about it, especially since all but the last 1/2 episodes are cute and upbeat. shigu and haoting deserved better.
Episode 5 is basically the moment where Deep In looks at everyone and goes, “So… we are all aware this is…
thanks for sharing, i really enjoyed reading your analysis but there is one part that confuses me; you say the red scene was zhang zhun dreaming, but they were actually on set filming the sex scene. unless you meant to say that it was gao zhun's dream?
honestly at first i felt like the film scenes were taking up too much time but im starting to become invested in the story. its really quite clever how the scenes blur the lines/mirror the real story. its not a coincidence that in the same episode where gao zhun admits his love for fang chi, zhang zhun divulges his feelings for zhen xin. i also like how they recontextualize certain scenes like the reveal that zhang zhun was actually awake. we see how both of them are already too Deep In in different ways
this series is such a rare gem and easily one of my favorites. s1 was pretty good but this improves upon that in every conceivable way. its not often you get a bl with an older, established couple and set after the happily ever after. it also manages to be consistently hilarious while exploring so many complex themes like forms of love, marriage, and family. one moment id be laughing so hard my sides hurt and the next id be tearing up. just a great show all around and im going to miss these characters so much!!
the plot thickens... i really hope we get more ju taeseon pov because his motivations are really interesting. im getting a beyond evil vibe from their dynamic which i love, especially when theyre working together. also episode 4... im really excited to see where this goes
Not that I'm an expert, but I read a lot of omegaverse manga. My guilty pleasure. Talking about the plot, they…
while making phatsa clueless is lazy writing it could work if only we actually knew anything about his character. like i imagine it could be a Carrie situation where he grew up very sheltered and knowledge about the secondary sexes was deliberately hidden from him, but we know nothing about his upbringing to say for sure. it definitely feels odd that we learn so little about the main character in the pilot episode, especially when in comparison we're introduced to nakhun's entire family
this is great as a comedy, though the humor is definitely over the top. haruta is easily the star of the show. his actor has great comedic timing and physicality. the romance aspect is a bit underdeveloped but that wasnt surprising. overall very entertaining
youve heard of dead fish kisses, now get ready for dead fish blowjobs... seriously why even include those scenes if youre not gonna commit lol.
but anyway this was pretty interesting. i liked the main couple's dynamic and all the characters were really well cast. also nice soundtrack. my only real gripe is that so much of the already short runtime is flashbacks/backstory and i wish a bit more time was spent developing their relationship. we learn a lot about odajima and his motivations, but all we know about kataoka is that hes just such a cool awesome guy and everyone loves him. but i guess thatll be explored in s2
Very intriguing and quite good. I'm just a bit uncomfortable with those pictures he took. I mean what happened…
yeah im a bit confused by zhen xin's characterization because on one hand theyre showing how he really cares for zhang zhun and is always looking after him but also he's a huge sex pest lol
usually not a fan of stories where they fall so deeply in love so quickly but here i guess it makes sense because of the red string of fate/reincarnation angle. main pairing was cute enough, though i didnt feel as attached to their past selves or any of the other couples for that matter. the story felt like more of a slice of life with occasional melodrama. also pacing is a bit too slow. honestly 17 episodes was way too much. by the halfway point things start to feel repetitive as it's like every other scene is pharm/dean tearfully remembering their past lives and redeclaring their love for each other. also the the whole bloodlines subplot was a bit weird. still overall the acting feels natural and i enjoyed the funny little moments day to day like how much the friends tease each other, also some really touching emotional beats
Extended list/former entries: 11. School Trip: Joined a Group I’m Not Close To (★8) Pretty typical highschool romance with unpopular MC x popular ML but with a fun and lovable cast of characters. 12.
