Wow, just finished episode 1. The acting in this is just S T E L L A R. Because it's pretty gritty, I have to watch this in pieces. JHI, how I've missed you, That baby face is something I'll never forget in One Spring Night.
OK I'm giving this a go... just based on the cute trailer. Been watching a lot of iQiyi productions lately. Plus this will be my 3rd drama I've seen with Yalkun Merxat. Love that man!
Ok this one and Crush are on my Rewatch list for sure. The chemistry for all 4 of these leads for both of these dramas is so dang good. What's cool is that both MLs are idols.
Ding Xian, you go girl! Finally came to your senses in Eps 18. You made my heart flutter when you told him you are T I R E D!! Watched that 3 times when you said that.
For me personally, Hometown Cha Cha Cha is my #1 highly anticipated drama of 2021. There's so much going for it as you have pointed out (great article btw) I'm going to keep an open mind, heart, body, and spirit while watching it from episode 1-16. I just love rom coms that have those couples that have that unexplainable chemistry while they are bickering, laughing, teasing and eventually loving. That type of relationship is what sets dramas outside the box for me. I think this couple will achieve that onscreen. Their experience and maturity will make that look naturally.
I have a question tho, when was it brought up that the ML was going to study abroad? Did he decided this before the FL came to his university or after?
I did too. Their story hits you in the gut. I think it's bc they've been so sweet and supportive of each other and then bam. But we knew this was all coming since episode 1 but it still hurts. I give the "never give up" award to Ding Xian bc if that were me, I would have moved on with my heart. It's too much to handle plus you've got school? Nope.
My heart almost did not make it through episode 15. Let's be hopeful that 17-18 tomorrow are a little bit more cheery or I'm sending my therapy bills to this show.
It's almost here. Here's what we can look forward to: -2 episodes on the weekend (yay) -experienced lead actors (dimples are a plus) -experienced director who did The King and Abyss for example -the cinematographer was called out in the cast, so you know the scenery has got to be some great visuals -Production co is Studio Dragon and distributed by Netflix. -Our handsome good boy Kim Seon Ho is the local unemployed handyman that's good at everything and helping everyone in need. His dimples alone is its own actor.
OK, I winished, so..... WHAT SHOULD I WATCH NOW OMG t_T
I know. It's hard to move on huh? I'm rewatching Crush. But watch Sweet Teeth (same writer) or Our Secret, River Runs Through it, I'm just waiting for Hometown Cha Cha Cha this weekend. So excited about that one!!
LOL I noticed him too in FIYS. So handsome! In this one he doesn't appear until episode 13. I'm sure it's a battle…
He needs to be a ML. I think he's a great actor and he's super handsome. Don't know why he's always a support guy or a triangle guy. Always a brides maid lol
OMG how do you cram 3 couples AND a back story into 22 episodes? LOL LOL this is why Kdramas are great story tellers, they get their business done in 16.
I've watched up to ep 14 and honestly, the two best friends' stories are more interesting to me than the ML &…
So true! I love this side story of the two BFFs and her book. Why didn't the write just start with that plot. I could live with out the 2 couples, except for Dr Wu's story with the student. The first almost 10 episodes dragged. It's like apples and oranges- Crush vs Sweet Teeth. I like these two for different reasons, but this poor writer will always have her dramas compared to one of the best Cdramas I've seen which is Crush. Crush will always be on it's own pedestal to me.
I absolutely love all the couples here, but there is something about adorable Lui Yu Cheng I find so cute. I know it says he's a Chinese idol, he looks Korean. Great job acting for a rookie. I found that he and Dr Wu had some chemistry. I love watching them.
Plus this will be my 3rd drama I've seen with Yalkun Merxat. Love that man!
Come on Saturday! It can't come soon enough, lol!
