well-crafted and involving story of small town politics and corruption mixing with high-level police corruption, crime and cover ups though、 the father son relationship of Ju Won and of Ju Won with Dong Shik was almost not credible except for being in a melodrama or maybe Freudian case study! 〜but the whole story worked up to a good denouement though for me a touch over melodramatic
the main protagonist is not supposed to be intelligent and "get away" without any fighting. the whole plot of…
If you look I made that point in my spoiler commentー I understand this is what the writer seems want to show but for me this is just cliche as in so many dramas and shows nothing new。 I would prefer a drama they actually propose a different more positive resolution but others will have their own view

yes but they did not develop this :actually around half way there is a scene where Ahn Soo is training Shi Eun to fight in usual way and if I recall right the only scene Shi Eun is shown using his brain in inner dialogue in second half of drama is where he refers to battle of Thermopylae 、otherwise it is all just brutal fighting and cliched story of thinking overcome by brute force and this as others say is what the writer probably intends to show but for me becomes boring
for me the fact this turned into just a violent fight drama did not even make sense with the first half given the central character role of Shi Eun is based on his intelligence and an intelligent protagonist would have found another more clever route to resolve the problems and with a more satisfactory result ・I understand the point they make that violence is self perpetuating and can even turn or force someone with a good mind to mindless violence to survive and so on so on ーbut all this is cliche: the way to overcome it is using your brain or we would all be blown up by nuclear bomb by now!I would prefer a more positive drama though than the usual cliches about violence and power
this was a quite addictive and promising drama for first half then with the Bum Seok plot line went completely to pieces and just turned into a violent ”slug-fest” :no reflection on the fine acting from Park Ji Hoon and Choi Hyun Wook though〜
the creepy parts I do not like、 the interest though is in the characters and relationships of small town society and back story、 and as it continues the twists in the plot
excellent story and acting but、why is South Korea so corrupt I wonder? well if not I suppose we would not get such great k dramas about corrupt businessmen politicians and police!💛
