Well mind you he was supposed to die on that lake in ep 2. Saving him means that all these deaths lie on her shoulders…
Oh whow that is a long list and pretty atrocious, no wonder in the book it’s a lot easier to empathize with YXW’s motive of keeping on with her mission.
My heart breaks seeing TTJ’s hurt eyes during the verbal fight with YXW in Ep21. But their reconciliation scene in at the tomb in Ep22 really got me bawling my eyes out. All I want is a happy TJJ and I’m glad he felt loved (even if this is just temporary) :’(
The TTJ and XL confrontation scene (the talking part, not the sword battle part), I’m not liking how it’s so obvious TTJ’s cape was held up by a wire in the middle (you can literally see the cape behind him sort of lifted at an angle in multiple shots). Seem small but a very pretty obvious carelessness for a big budget production if you ask me.
TTEOTM is really making me nostalgic about Love Is Sweet, maybe i’m due for a rewatch.
This was the first modern/urban romance c-drama I’ve watched eversince getting into c-drama fandom in 2020, and since then no urban romance has top this yet. The balance between comedy, sweetness and angst is just right with this one.
In the first espisode when the fl hurts the DG and leavess and he fellows her he says "it's you". Does he recognize…
It was explained by someone in the discussion forum above that Li Susu was made of 99 good souls + 1 bad souls. The 1 bad soul escaped and was born as Ye Xiwu (TTJ’s original evel wife 500 years ago) in the mortal world. So Ye Xiwu’s face is almost similar to Li Susu (but in the drama I think they just make them 100% similar otherwise they need a different actress).
So in the first ep, TTJ was taken aback when she saw Li Susu because she look so similar to the evil wife he had 500 years ago.
This is the book explanation, but we’ll see if drama follows the same or not.
iQiyi gave us modern romance (Love Is Sweet). Youku gave us epic ancient period (TTEOTM). Tencent or whoever yall need to give us one more!
