The fight scene was so cringe, to be fair in real life most street fights like that, untrained and unchoreographed. Obviously the longing stares the MLs shared in the middle of a fight don't happen in real life. I'm also not convinced by the makjang chaebol family squbble . Stepmom is way too high strung and overly dramatic.
If this is a happy ending my theory is that this will be just a dream of Nut. He wakes up and finds out he is cured. His illness is possibly from a brain tumor. They get together after that. The epilogue will be them marrying 27 years later.
I wanna bitch slap the FL so hard, she'd lose that snidey, uppity expression she always has on her face. To think I thought she was a reasonable and learned woman. Now she's just another emotional trainwreck FL that need to be coax and given constant attention. So unbelievably naive and superficial.
The distributor should have had a contingency plan like airing this with a much more tight schedule when they know the authorities wandering eyes would eventually fall on this. I do think the censors will eventually include these for international audience only bl dramas in their scope of work.
Are you stupid or are you that dense? It's obviously within whatever whim the Chinese censors want because it was produced in Mainland China by their own citizens. Do you think the production team and actors would risk everything if the government says they will get ban in Chinese entertainment. May I remind you how many actors much more popular and established got their careers ended because they run afoul from the authorities.
I have had a terrible time with dramas lately, I just watched a couple of episodes and just put them on hold. Whether it's c-drama, K-drama, Thai BLs all the same, I lost interest after a few episodes. This one I'm happy to say, I managed to follow from start to finish. I wouldn't say this is an exceptional series. Far from it, it had subpar production quality, a campy 90's vibe, and some elements of the the plot were dubious and illogical. What it had though is engagement and loads of interests that keep me glued watching it despite it numerous flaws. Would it have work if it was a higher budget production? I'm doubtful.
We are already in the AI era. Why in the world are they not using it to dub all this conversations in foreign languages because clearly these actors do not even know what the hell they are saying or what fluent and proper French or any other language sounds like.
