Erm...the fl is fine the plot has a problem. The act felt forced and from the teaser it has a purpose; to make the suspect sus of the fl.
As for the documents,she wouldn't come to the ml's apartment were it not for them. I agree wholeheartedly that she shouldn't temper with the evidence -we are talking about people's lives here - but it is not easy to come clean.She likes him and doesn't want him to think that she is more weird than he already thinks she is.
