I don't get why so many people love this drama so much
Before saying anything else, let me get this off my chest. I need Ji Chang Wook and Taehyung (V) of BTS to do a drama together as brothers! Some of Chang Wook's mannerisms, especially when he was acting as Bong Soo, were so insanely V-like. Also, from a few angles Chang Wook looked SO much like V it was crazy! I really hope it happens someday. I feel like they'd be amazing together. Now, for the show itself, honestly I was gonna give it a 7/10 rating, but the last episode was so weird and unsatisfying that it left me with a bad taste. This is one of the longest k-dramas I've ever watched, but the last episode felt rushed and unplanned. Like they simply threw something together because they realized it was the finale, but failed to deliver on a proper ending. Threads were left hanging loose all over the place. I was very disappointed and underwhelmed.
The overall plotlines I enjoyed. The thing with the parents, the kids, all of the interpersonal relationships between characters (especially those, the show really shined in that respect). The fight scenes were also very good and entertaining to watch and the acting from the two main characters was top notch. Chang Wook particularly blew me away. It was insane how different he was as Bong Soo and Jung Hoo. Also Park Min Young is always a delight (I almost didn't recognize her at first because of the short hair). As a couple they were adorable, and anytime there's a more than average amount of skinship, I'm happy. But the rest of the cast, I wasn't so impressed with.
Now, for the bad, who chose the OST for this? Like, maybe it's a chronological thing and back when this aired the music choices would have been considered good? I don't know, but I thought they were largely the bad kind of cheesy. Especially that "It's a beautiful feeling" one. That one made me cringe each time it started playing. But beyond that, I think they made very questionable choices on how to musicalize plenty of scenes. Like, they'd play happy-ish, up beat music during fight scenes or tense moments, which completely wrecked the mood for me. This happened a few times during the endings of the episodes, but then, on the replay of that same scene on the beginning of the next episode, they'd use a more mood-appropriate song, and it was insane how much the vibe shifted.

The entire cast was daebak! We've got Healer/Bong Soo/Jeong Hoo who works as a night currier who takes on any job that pays well as long as it's not killing someone - a man who is tender, and can fight for his woman now that's what I'd call a HERO <3 This song by Bonnie Tyler fit's JCW's character to a T & PYM's need for him {*Where have all the good men gone..where's the street-wise hercules to fight the rising odds. Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?...I need a hero! I'm holding out for a hero 'till the end of the night. He's gotta be strong and he's gotta be fast and he's gotta be fresh from the fight. I need a hero!...Someone just beyond my reach is someone reaching back for me...It's gonna take a superman to sweep me off my feet! I need a hero!...I swear there is someone somewhere watching me...I can feel his approach...I need a hero!*} Chae Yeong Shin is one of my favorite female leads in dramaland so far! I loved her attitude and personality - it was awesome! She was strong, brave, funny & down to earth - The best character that Park Min Young has played so far! She was a small time reporter who had big dreams & when she meets Healer her life takes a path she never expected^^ ~It's a beautiful feeling~ <3 Kim Moon Ho a big time honest reporter and my second favorite male character on this drama <3 I'll be "stalking" him from now on^^ He is someone who really is at odds with his older brother & is determined to bring the truth to light. and then there is the ever so precious Ahjuma <3 I loved her to pieces! She was so frumpy, grumpy, silly and professional all at the same time - she's a character I won't ever forget <3 I even loved it when she'd occasionally throw a small temper fit in her room keke^^ & her random singing was goofy :P Everyone else did great in the roles they portrayed too ;) Myung Hee, Moon Sik & Yeong Jae 'Teacher' (I'd laugh whenever he'd smile while dissing someone) & Chae Yeong Shin's dad & the ahjussi that worked at the café were hilarious! :P
Music/OST: PERFECT - I was SO SO SO happy when I heard Michael Learns to Rock (MLTR) as the OST!!! I absolutely adore their music <3 Favorite song by them of course is 'Eternal Love' <3 Then the song by Ben 'You' & Ji Chang Wook's song 'I Will Protect You' <3 <those were my top 3 favorites but I also enjoyed Tei's song 'What My Eyes Say' - The OST is just so good on this drama!
Re-watch Value: No joke, I will be re-watching this drama VERY soon! ~oh my love, I'm all yours~ <3

the plot was perfect, action and comedy combine from the 1st until the end...some other dramas tend to loose their comedy side halfway but this...i can stilll laugh even when things suppose to be serious. i hesitate to watch it at first because theres 20 series, 1 hour each, Oh My God....but...at the end i feel like why theres ONLY 20? i think the ending a little bit to rush but the storyline still strong and smooth though. they capture all the conflict (politics, dirty money, etc) really really well, i can feel the reality in it.
cast : all of them have a strong presence...my favorite is ahjumma of course, the rest still great. i really love ji chang wook who jumping around at night...even the supporting cast made a strong impression for the drama.
music : i dont usually give credits to music, yah because korean is like an alien words for me but...this drama made a very wise decision when they use Michael Learn To Rock "eternal love" as one of their soundtrack, because me, as a stranger to korean words, i can read English and i can feel the drama more when i understand the words in the song. this kind of dramas is worth watch worldwide, and one of their strong point is the soundtrack. and, the most important thing is they put the right song in the right scene.
i will watch this again at some point....but considering theres 20 series to watch...maybe later.
i hope this will encourage you all to watch this gem.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS DRAMA: HOLY MOLY CAN I JUST SPAZZ ABOUT THE SOUNDTRACKS FIRST?! The OSTs are super duper perfect - they just fit into those scenes whenever they are played! I got myself grooving along the songs especially Eternal Love. And I have got to say this song really has got the power that makes me feel like crying whenever it is played. (":
Okay, moving on, yes the casts. Even those villains are really great because they make us hate them so much especially that annoying Secretary Oh HAHAHA! And I'd really want to compliment Ji Chang Wook for his acting skills! I admit that it is really my first time watching his drama and one word - DAEBAK! His facial expressions really tells it all how he feels - especially the scene when he wanted to cry but had to hold it in. )': The actress played as Choi Myung Hee is another one I would like to praise. She just somehow attracts my attention because of how she could actually portray the character very well, making me want to love her yet pity her at the same time! Hope to see her in future dramas! (:
And yup, the story plot is what that makes this drama receiving so many likes! EVERY SINGLE EPISODE IS JUST FULL OF EXCITEMENT, TENSION... YEAH JUST 20 STRONG AMAZING EPISODES. Really expected a few episodes to be draggy like some dramas, but it really didn't happen.
WHAT I DISLIKE ABOUT THE DRAMA: Hmmm... I would have to say that the ending was really a rushed one though. They didn't show what happen to Ahjumma and MyungHee and other small characters which was slightly disappointing.
Overall, really worth watching drama. And please don't compare with City Hunter because it is definitely and way different! Honestly, this drama attracts my attention more than watching City Hunter. OKAY I AM HAVING WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS NOW ):

Oh boy, it was SO.FREAKING.GOOD.
The story was good. It had deeper aspects and good development.
The background story was emotional and dramatic and had thriller aspects going.
The characters were all very individual and somewhat outside of the box, which was great.
Even the supporting roles were diamonds by themselves.
The cast was outstanding. It was like they really, really, really WERE these characters, it fitted them
perfectly.
The love story was exactly the right amount of, well, love story.
The music was amazing, too.
I do not have a single critical aspect on this show, and that has never happened before or after.
It is entertaining, thrilling, romantic, funny, has action and is believable.
You are simply insane if you miss on this.

If I were to describe the whole story, its just enough to fill the empty cup not daebbak neither bad but its more than fair...XD out of dramas I've seen its definitely in my top 15 I guess. Yup its watchable but it didn't make me addictive and super excited over it. My meter feels over this drama is straight and sometimes it goes up and down, when it comes to my meter of fangirling well it's overflowing because of JCW!! he literally heals me! :) kekkeke. What I love about this drama is the romance, its one of the best and the asset of this drama! I really really, do liked it!! Believe me you'll enjoy the romance as much as i do!! Add as well the chemistry between the main leads and of course..... asdfghjkkl!!! JI CHANG WOOK >_< *flips universe*
ummmm while watching it it somewhat gives me the city hunter feels.
I'll definitely re-watched the romance part and the cute, awesome scenes of JCW! XD kekke
ost is good!
acting skills? no doubt! impressive!! thumbs up!
I'll recommend if you're into JCW in short hot guys. lol.
well we do have a different taste and I'm one of the few people who is not in the group of fans club that thinks its a masterpiece and thinks its the best drama of all time and yes I'm against all the odds....XD lol. but don't get me wrong I LIKE THIS DRAMA AND I DO APPRECIATE IT!! :)
planning to watch this drama? GO AHEAD! it's not a waste of time this drama will make you smile, laugh and all giddy... ;) if by chance you finished it I wanna know which side are you :) kekekek
advice? If you were to watch a drama don't set a standard :))^^v

The story is unusual and the main cast acting is beyond awesome. Honestly, while I watch a drama, I always had some trouble with the acting of one actor or how dumb he is. But this time, I haven't felt like that at all! The main actresses (Park Min Yong) is not dumb and is strong (finally a drama with a strong female lead ah ah!) and the main actor (Ji Chang Wook aka Healer) had become one of my favorite Korean actors because of how talented he was on Healer.
I really liked this drama because it kills out some (if it's not all) of the main cliche in Drama (especially Korean ones). There is not "Triangle Love", the main couple actually COMMUNICATE with each other so there is no misunderstanding (and we all know how frustrating it is in drama when they're not) and finally there is "kiss scene" (a lot of good ones).
As for the music, it is one of the best OST of 2014-2015. Always on point with the scene, some of them have a lot of feels and some of them are perfect for the action.
Don't hesitate to watch it! If you search for something refreshing with action, romance, comedy and thrill feels you got one of the best K-Drama I've seen.

Characters I loved were Healer's Teacher Yeong Jae (he broke my heart), Kim Min Hoo (I totally ship him with his female boss!), Yeong Shin's caring father and the cool ahjumma hacker Min Ja. Ji Chang Wook was awesome as always. Loved him.
I'm impressed at how versatile Park Min Young has become as an actress. She's improved so much since City Hunter. And OMG, Kim Mi Kyung? Is that the same old woman who played the housemaid mother of Park Shin Hye in The Heirs? Being able to camouflage into different personalities, leaving no trace of previous acting performances...that's what you call REAL acting, yo.
Oh and I LOVED the soundtrack they used: Eternal Love by Michael Learns to Rock. Now I can't get it out of my head. Ha.
My main complaint is the ending. Sure, I'm happy because I got the blissful ending I wanted for the main couple. However, I was also dissatisfied because I never got to see a more detailed narration of the downfall of the villains, particularly the Elder and the other members of The Farmers. They have been building up this noble motive of obtaining justice against these evil, greedy people since the beginning. Only to end it like that. It seemed to me that the ending was solely made for the OTP's benefit (i.e. so Healer and Chae Young Shin can live a happy and free life together, etc.) and not to Team Healer's overall cause. A pity because it could've made a big impact on a societal level. They already touched dangers to public safety and all that. They should've gone all the way. Hence, the 8 in my scores.
Despite not making it to my top favorite dramas, I gave it some high marks because I think it's a pretty intelligent show and the writing is solid. Moreover, it has enough sweet, heartwarming and funny scenes to balance the otherwise serious and socially relevant themes in the story, qualities which other crime thriller romance dramas (e.g. My Beautiful Bride) failed to deliver.

I don't know if it's the amount of mystery/thriller books I've read or what, but the ending seemed a little predictable to me, and I guess I never really got the climactic moment I was hoping for.
I was also a little annoyed by the female lead throughout. She wasn't ditzy or stupid, but I honestly didn't think she was very smart or strong either. It got annoying when the show seemed to be LOUDLY ADVERTISING her as a strong character with dialogue like: "Wow, how are you not afraid at all?" or "Don't do such fearless things." when she always kind of did nothing in the actual moments (and her trauma was something I thought would be part of her character development, but it didn't really). Also: the first episode had her as someone who grew up "with a sixth sense," but as the drama went on, suddenly she lacked peripheral vision and hearing and couldn't even tell when she was being tailed by 30 men in black suits...

reading the reviews and comments here, i think im the only one who felt that the ending was rushed. ji an’ and her mom relationship just ended like that . realistic? yes. but anti climatic after the long build up. Kim moon sik just ended to be crazy and talking to himself? we deserve better than that. and what about the elder? its like they just give us tidbits of information in the finale but it did not really have a satisfying ending to the characters. I had high expectations in this series. Maybe because kdrama had evolved so much and watching an old series wont be the same if you watch it back then and when you watched it today. i still love the story. Made me
hook to watch it until the end. Unfortunately, i was disappointed how the series ended which left me
with so much questions and felt that the ending was rushed.
I still liked it though.
