Liu Chu Yu learns from Tian Ru Jing about Rong Zhi's fate to remain in the princess's mansion. Unconvinced of fate, she seeks help to rid Liu Zi Ye of his fear of ghosts, but Tian Ru Jing refuses. Back at the mansion, Princess Shan Yin wakes up with amnesia, tended to by Rong Zhi and a physician. Angry at her maidservant's reminder of her condition, she vents her frustration on her. As Rong Zhi leaves, he senses something amiss with the princess; she's actually an imposter planted by Zhu Que.

Now we know why the emperor loves to kill people, no matter what they do. He had a difficult childhood and was bullied by his stepbrother. The Empress Dowager must be his biological mother, who that past emperor abandoned. But the bullied crown prince took the emperor's post, and a twin sister took the princess's post. I thought the emperor was the villain here, but it looks like the villains are not here yet.
