Today marks the deadline set by the Tianji Pavilion Master for Liu Chu Yu. Despite warnings from Feng Dai, Liu Chu Yu is determined to change Liu Zi Ye and has abandoned the idea of killing him. On her way to the palace with a sachet from Rong Zhi, she encounters assassins. Rong Zhi intervenes, persuading them to leave. Meanwhile, in the palace, Liu Zi Ye sadistically torments the princes, ordering them to be roasted alive. Learning of this, Zhu Que urgently seeks a way to save the princes, believing their inability to protect themselves proves their incapacity to overthrow the tyrant. Her assumption is confirmed when Prince Liu Yu pretends to be insane to save himself, prompting Liu Zi Ye to spare both princes' lives, for now.

One more framing character. I mean, he is a random assassin paid to kill Zhu Que. But Zhu Que had to do something to disguise herself as Princess Shang Yi/ Liu Chuyu, so most people think that she is the princess and not the lost one.I am curious if the emperor has a twin brother, too or if he was just one crown prince.
