Simple ,cute and little senti love story

First want to write about acting Kang ho soo,I guess this the name of the lead ,Korean names are little difficult to remember but anyways mr. Lead of the drama what so good , fantastic ,amazing ,I am become speechless to see his acting . He portrayed as cute, simple and soft hearted boy but still he understands what wrong is happening and his inner soul wants to correct everything by raising the voice but he started imagine that how he made realized people about their mistake by shouting and got angry but all in waking dreams but when he came to reality he remained soft hearted boy who accepted the pain and in return says nothing. He is too good . About others all were good . Last scene when they ran on green light that was cool .but I want more about the ending part . Thay had two kids so properly together they all should get screen and plus want to know then what happened to his sis ,did she got married at the very end as hers brother then had a child . Rest is good.

Tacky Rom-Com

The drama Ho Goo’s Love tries to blend rom-com charm with an emotional depth that is shallow as the pool waters, it also ends up feeling tacky than touching. The drama follows a total pushover Hogoo who met his long-time crush Dohee and the subsequent fallout (pregnancy) and all that happen after they had a night out. While the lead actors are okay-ish at best, the plot relies on weird clichés that kinda drag down the pacing. There are some sweet moments despite the lack of chemistry between the main characters but they get overshadowed by awkward comedic bits and clashes. Overall, Ho Goo’s Love is watchable if you enjoy silly and cringey romance, but it doesn't hold any rewatchable value at least for me.

Everything about it was more than awesome.
You may judge it at the start after reading the plot but Maaan! was i happy that i did not ignore it.
Its sweet, and i love Do do Hee.
I was obsessed. Her eyes. She kinda has the Kim Wo Bin eyes that you can not read the expression on her face but in the end i was obsessed with the girl.
Its by far the best drama i have come to enjoy. I was excited to watch the next episode.

I thought they were perfect together.
*sigh*

Ups for this drama:
really funny
female lead is pretty
male lead is cute
the rest of the cast are great
the story itself is funny as in REALLY funny

downs:
the throwbacks are out of order. The throwback should be after the present to have emphasis and a better understanding for the sake of the viewers.
Also, there is a part of the story which has a big impact on the roles of the leads but was unable to explain. I believe its because they find it a little sensitive to tackle but then again, since you put it there in the story, the writers should ave been prepared in putting emphasis on it.

my verdict:
Must watch. The down side of the story is not big enough to overthrow the humor they put on it so its still really good.

An fantastic yet underrated drama

Ho Goo's Love is based on the webtoon of the same title by Yoo Hyun-sook. A story that is solely built on misunderstandings and bemusement between all characters that ended really well. I find it odd that viewers are not really into it when it's one of the few Kdramas with a romantic yet quirky plot. Some scenes and sequences were outlandish, but it got me laughing throughout. And when you thought that Ho Goo's Love is a cute drama, it also tackles burning issues of today's society such as rape, unwanted pregnancy, suicide, plastic surgery, and sexuality. Props to the production team and the cast for delivering a wonderful, unique drama.

It's a shame that this drama is underrated. But if you want to have a good laugh from the first episode to the last one, this drama is for you.

This review may contain spoilers
This drama is pretty difficult to grade. On one hand it's very unique, with a heartwarming story, there is no love triangle and there are quite a few brilliant moments in the drama. On the other hand the chain of misunderstandings is just too much, borderline makjang-ish. Decided to give it an 8, because it's just too awesome and memorable for anything less.

UEE was incredible as Do Hee, I don't understand what all the hate is about, I could not imagine anyone doing a better job in this role. Choi Woo Shik was surprisingly great as well, though I only knew him from Fight for My Way. They had great chemistry too. The rest of the cast were also decent, the casting director did a great job.

The OTP's romance is really on point, I just wish they would have foregone the mandatory breakup in ep14, at least the ending was great, a really satisfying happy ending. (I don't care much about the result of that trial)

As for the second leads I'm on the fence about their relationship. For starters I did not like the second ML's character and it took 16 episodes to resolve their principal misunderstanding. At least the confusion about his sexual identity was kind of amusing.

One thing I noticed is that in the early episodes Hogoo's shenanigans caused me a lot of secondary embarrassment, I felt like he is mentally challenged. However in the second half his character was adjusted to become much more capable and attractive. Natural character development cannot possibly be held accountable for this upgrade.

The semi animated opening credits were awesome.

edit:
I've increased the score to 9, because I keep thinking about the drama & feel a strong urge to start a rewatch session already only after a few days..

edit2 (1 year later):
Changed it again to 10, the reason being that the romance is just so incredible, that the flaws are easy to ignore. There are very few dramas out there that give me the same feels.

This drama was all I needed. It had the perfect blend of romance, comedy and suspence. I loved the beautiful and talented cast this drama offered. I was hooked since episode 1 and couldn't wait to get to the next episode. LOVED IT.

This is a hard one to give a rating. Up until episode 13, it was an easy 10/10, but the last three episodes were really disappointing. It's not that the pieces of the puzzle didn't fit. They actually fit perfectly. It's just the order they were placed in the puzzle didn't work. I was left wanting a better resolution.

They had me until they almost didn't have me anymore.

That being said, where can I get a Ho Goo of my own?

(Music is 1 because I don't remember what the music was like. If I rewatched dramas, I would rewatch this one.)

Maravilhoso! 2018-04-23
