too bad it has left NF

I am a yys fan so this review may sound quite biased. I'd say its a very good romcom for when you have nothing else to watch and are in the mood for some nostalgia k-drama. OSTs are superb. Acting is amazing. I'm happy i had discovered it just before it left NF. Also the chemisty between the couple is pretty good!

very warm and cozy drrama <3

wow what a beautiful drama...they gave this drama perfect name warm and cozy becoz it was very warm and cozy drama.........i usually dont start a drama right after finishing one so i watch some old clips or dramas untill i start a new one and this drama is one of them..
it is a stress free drama with great chemistry some fun moments and character development..i loved all the characters very very much...main female villian's acting was not very good she needs to improve a lot but her role was too much of importance so i ignored her acting...
i loved the ending of this drama in which they always shared a new recipe of their resturant....
the juju island OMG is so beautiful,,they captured the beauty of the place very beautifully...and it was a plus point of this drma....
the music of this drama was also very good........10/10 for music...
i gave this drama 9/10overall...bcoz obviously it was not a perfect drama there were some useless moments but it was a very good watch...u should definitly try this drama....

Sweet story

This drama was sweet. Main characters had nice chemistry. At the beginning I thougt that the story will be about family relationships and it turned out very well. I was laughing a lot and the story has a lot of missunderstandings. They clear and mixed again. Love story between three couples and mixed stories from past to present. Sometimes I didn`t know what will be hidden true or lie. The story is in small island, were people has their own way of life and business. It is nice to be out of town and all the bussiness relationships. I like also the helper in the restaurant. He was all the time trying to help to make the best for both sides. I he understands a lot without event to tell him. But I am sure I will watched this drama again. I really enjoy it.

I really liked Warm and Cozy starting out, but got really frustrated with it in the middle. Geon Woo does a lot of "push and pull" - he'll imply he likes Jung Joo just enough to keep her interested, but then he'll do something stupid to push her away again. However, he obviously learned these tactics from the off again/on again relationship he has with Mok Ji Won, who wholeheartedly admits to being a gold-digger and is out for the richest husband she can find. Geon Woo just doesn't have enough ambition to satisfy her desire for wealth and status. But she doesn't want anyone else to have him, either, so every time Geon Woo and Jung Joo start getting closer, she shows up to throw a monkey-wrench into the machinery.

There isn't really anything exciting and new about this drama - it relies on the standard romance tropes. Love triangle. Drunken night out. Piggy back rides. Sudden illness requiring a loved one's tender care. Misunderstandings. Disappearances. Separations. Couple having to live together b/c of unfortunate circumstances. You name it, they're in there. There's also a mystery arc.

However, Kang So Ra and Yoo Yeon Seok's chemistry was off the charts (to me, anyway), so it was easy to root for them to be together (when I wasn't wanting to throw a brick at Geon Woo for being so pigheaded). There are plenty of laugh out loud, funny moments to relieve the tension (especially with Hae Sil and Jung Geun, the secondary couple). The mayor is strange but hilarious. Last but not least, he last two episodes contain one of the most touching confessions I've seen (well, two of them, really), and then what I think is one of the best Kdrama kisses I've seen so far - a sexy, **mutually desired**, passionate kiss - So at the end, I felt putting up with the push/pull antics was worth it.

The secondary pairing is also a lot of fun to watch, and it's also fun to finally see the lead female tell off the evil ex-girlfriend (which seems to be a kind of a rarity so I really enjoyed that bit, too). They share a recipe for something cooked at the end of each show, so that was cute, too. So, while the plot line may not be the most original and it's full of the usual kdrama tropes, it was still a fun, enjoyable romantic comedy. Music is wonderful and they did a good job using it to set the mood in different scenes. My favorites are Butterfly, A Little Closer, and Don't Be Seen. Rewatch value is good - there are several moments I like to rewatch and I will probably watch the whole series again soon. If rom-coms are for you (and I love them), then you'll probably like this one.

The show started out all good and promising then it just got dull. I liked the two actors separately but the combination of this two in this show was just cute. They dint do much for me as far as acting skills it just felt like a part time thing. I loved her in Dr stranger and him in reply 94. The town mayor had really beautiful eyes. Apart from that the show was just meh.

Save Yourself

I really wanted to like this, I like the two main leads.

However, there was absolutely nothing Warm or Cozy about this show. It was so frustrating and childish. The only redeeming quality was the older couple. By the end of it I didn't care what happened to the main leads since with their record the whole relationship is a disaster.

I wanted it to be over and for a time machine to pop out of nowhere so I could stop myself from watching this.

Some may like this, just wasn't for me AT ALL.

Warm and Cozy is warm and cozy.
I'm not saying it's the best drama in the whole world, there are actually things about it I didn't like, but it is something light and quite cute. If you're looking for something easy that could make you laugh (and sometimes die of cuteness) I think this is the right drama for you.
It's nothing too complicated, so if you want something deeper watch another drama.

PS: What I particularly loved is the OST. I think you'll love it!

PPS: You'll fall in love with the location. It's stunning!

This is my first Korean Drama series and pleasantly surprised!

This is one nice and relaxing love story with happy ending for every character. Perfect for those times when you just want to sit back and relax your mind and soul.

There is no nerve wrecking plots/characters and I really enjoyed watching it except the 1 year time jump. (I can't emphasize enough just how much I hate time jumps longer than 1 month, except those with a very good reason!!!) There are plenty of romantic moments throughout the whole drama but not that "too sweet" kind of romance and also not not the predictable kind.

There is also a lot of subtle comedy.

All actors did a great job and OST was great too.

A lbit of “Good Morning Call” vibes in the cold way ML sometimes interacts with FL

8.5/10 is my rating. This is a 2015 South Korean romance drama with 16, ~60 minute episodes.

First I provide a unique synopsis then review. I provide a synopsis as many series do not have a descriptive enough synopsis to really tell you what it is about to help decide to watch or not. The review is labeled as such so you can scroll to that if not interested in synopsis.

Synopsis

Lee Jung-joo (Kang So ra) and Baek Gun-woo (Yoo Yeon seok) met when they were 19, on their shared birthday, when Jung joo erroneously thought Gun woo was her twin. This established a connection between the two who jokingly agreed that she would go on to be cool and he would go from the golden boy to straying from the path. If they met in the future there was a joke about them falling for each other. Things did not follow a glittery path for Jung joo and she finds herself back on Jeju aIsland, where they first met after losing her house, her boyfriend and her job. Baek Gun-woo is a chef at the restaurant he owns “Warm and Cozy” which is adjacent to the fallen down house Jung goo was straddled with. Fate continually throws the two together and the small spark that ignited all those years before develops into love.

Review

It is a typical romance of about a decade ago. In that era, the female lead character often puts up with a lot more coldness and indifference and still comes back for more. If you put it in that context, this is a cute and heart warming romance.

Spoilers

I comtinually had to remind myself of the era as she took a lot from him as he showed continual preference for a woman that treated him horribly. At one point he said he knew the woman he had bought the restaurant for was not a very nice person. He said he liked her because she told him his mom was nit bad in the way she was with men. I thought the girl he liked was a complete jerk and loved it when the female lead told her to quit lying and pushed her out of the room. She never grew as a character and was always just an awful, lying, scheming, good digging brat.

The male lead’s father taking the rap for the mother’s crime was sad. It was sad because the father and son never reunited.Which was pointless.

It ended well. With them together, i felt like the situation with the dad was not well wrapped up but it was a minor point.

#WarmandCozy. #KangSoRa #YooYeonSeok

This made me feel warm and cozy!

Wow! That made me feel warm and cosy! First drama with Kang Sora, for me, and I fell in love with her character. Lovely drama, but not without its faults.
The bickering between the main leads was tiring and Yoo Yeon Seok was immature for most of the drama by not being honest with Jung Joo. It ended up being a bit hot and cold with their relationship and a bit of a let-down as one scene you'd think they'd be progressing in falling for each other, and then they have a childing outburst. As a result, we were denied a little growth when they finally got together. Similarly, the mayor's love for Jung Joo got a bit tiring as well, as was Jiwoo's manipulation of the leads. Btw, how much did Seo Yi Ahn remind you of Kim Ji Eun? The mannerisms were identical.
It may sound like I'm being negative about it, and my 7.5 score may confirm that, but I still really loved it. Old-school dramas have a charm that is missing in a lot of recent dramas, and Kang Sora was just adorable as Jung Joo. The real star was the backdrop of Jeju Island.
Watch it as a lovable filler drama to watch in between the latest dramas.

This drama was perfect for my mood at this moment (tired, stressed).
I was just looking for a simple and a fresh romantic drama with nice characters, with beautiful landscapes, none Vilain, zero stress
The timing was perfect!?!!

In this drama, there are many cliché in the story and nothing was very new. The story was quite simple and i was just looking for that.
Leads are acting very well (funny and fresh) and the music was pretty good.

But the most important is that I Love Yoo Yeon Seok Oppa :x

I enjoyed the drama; it was good and the cast was great. It has that laughs, random cuteness and eye candy kind of drama, it is not too serious and more lovey dovey I guess. The atmosphere was nice, and I liked the setting most of the dramas out there is set in Seoul, but this one is out on Jeju Island. The characters were good, but I didn’t like Mok Ji Won (Seo Yi Ahn), she was so annoying but also that typical villain that no one likes, and she was just there as a block to annoy Jung Joo. I liked the main leads together, they had a good chemistry and it was fun how Geon Woo thought Jung Joo was a cancer patient and treated her all well in the beginning, and then it was all a misunderstanding, and Jung Joo is actually completely fine.

That was one thing that was a bit annoying, it took so long time for them to propose their feelings to each other, in one second they loved each other and in the next they didn’t, and Geon Woo was debating whether he would leave Warm and Cozy (the restaurant’s name) or not, but then he did left but he came back to Jung Joo because he loved her and couldn’t be without her, even if he promised to not be in touch with her. It was a lot of misunderstandings and bickering, and the mayor and Ji Won that were basically the conflicts in this drama. Overall, I did enjoy it, it was nice, but the strongest points in this drama was the cast, the atmosphere and the soundtrack
