Murdering rotten and evil chaebols receiving the just comeuppance is the running theme of both dramas. The FL s are both constantly miserable: I have not seen either crack a promise of a smile throughout both dramas. Plenty of secrets pushing the plot forward, great cliffhangers and the sweeping music, practically a character on its own. These are some of the best makjangs around!

Kinda similar doppelgänger revenge stories. Mask is a Korean drama, set in the modern Korean upper class. The poor FL has to replace her doppelgänger after the doppelgänger was murdered. The double is a Chinese drama. The FL takes the identity of her friend after the friend dies. The FL takes revenge on the people that tried to murder her.

Both have a male lead, obsessed with cleanliness and with other PTSD and OCD problems displayed. He is a CEO, so he has to keep his troubles a secret. Is rich, but mistreated by his own family (which is the root of all of his psychological problems).
Female lead is poor, clumsy. Has problems hiding her own feeling as they are always being easily read on her face. He is business-smart.. she is innocent.

Yoshino Michi is 32 years old. She's been married for five years, but hasn't had sex for the last two. It's not as if she doesn't get along with her husband, it's just that the sex part is lacking. It was a bit unexpected, but one night when she when drinking with her colleague, Niina Makoto, she wound up confessing that her marriage had turned sexless. And then, a shocked Niina responded "My marriage is sexless, too," and smiled with a lonely look in his eyes.

Different plots on the whole, but I feel like both sort of tell the story of a person that was backed into a corner and how she tries to fight her way out. Also, both dramas deal with both very evil characters and those with shades of gray. Both are on the darker side (AM is Def darkerr) with specks of humor. Finally, both have story that really sucks you in.

Both dramas carry strong female leads that have to do many things to survive within their environments. The osts and filming are very similar and beautiful. They both have a darker mood and include similar themes such as betrayal, cheating, tragedy, and a lot of suspension. Would highly recommend if you enjoyed Misty.
