Ok Drama
I I stared watching this Drama because of the ML . I saw him in , " Love in Time "and his acting was not bad. This drama stared out great. The FL lead was positive and smart . She is pretty too.The ML to me in this was not really unique .His acting was good but the story make him a bit boring . I felt like he was always unsure of himself.
The chemistry between the ML & FL always seem forced and uncomfortable. I really did not feel like she ever was really in love with him. She always seems sorry for him but not love. She had better chemistry with 2nd ML.
The FL was fashionable.
Ost was ok.
Overall I rated this 2-3 star.. Not a rewatched for me.

I would recommend this to all who would like no-stress plot, and really a relaxing watch. I would shortened the episodes to 15 max as pass the 13th things were just draggy and unnecessary, or done without much thinking just to push the plot story.
Although I don't watch many Taiwanese shows, this one was a good choice and I would recommend it if you want something light, sweet and relaxing.

The ending was the messiest part. The plot itself was honestly just too full of cliches and the typical angsty backstories. Having just watched another drama before this that basically did everything this one did but better, the comparison was even more jarring, which accounts for this low rating.

Per Murphy's Law, It Went Wrong
After two enjoyable Taiwanese romcoms, I was looking forward to another. Murphy's Law should have warned me against high expectations, as this drama inevitably went wrong.The FL was a psychologist who was the least self-aware individual possible. Even when people told her in specific words how they felt, she had no clue what was going on. One would think with her training, she'd have a handle on personal relationships, but she didn't even know her own mind. Imagine a psychologist who can't communicate.
Why do older, professional FLs in dramas act like toddlers? Please stop continual pouting before the teen years.
Then there were the oddities that didn't make sense. In the beginning, the viewers were introduced to the FL as an extremely unlucky individual: it would rain when she didn't have her umbrella, plans would fall through, and Murphy's Law of "anything that can go wrong will go wrong" wreaked havoc. Later episodes mentioned Murphy's Law, but, all of a sudden, it didn't figure into the FL's life. She had two rich, handsome men vying for her attention, and her career was on fire. That's the kind of bad luck to be dreamed about! Also, FL's sister featured prominently early on. She divorced and moved in with the family, where FL resided, but then she was never seen or mentioned again.
Misguided noble idiocy, stupid misunderstandings, and an incomprehensible break-up rounded out a mediocre drama. I liked the actors, but the story needed help.
An extra half star for the cute Shiba Inu. He wasn't a particularly good actor, but he stole the scenes he was in.

Casting
The cast of this movie was done well. The wardrobe person did an amazing job. The lead actresses purses got most of my attention. I’ve seen the gentleman who plays her Father in other series, he needed a bigger role. I will now “follow” him. The scenery is gorgeous, I’m placing Taipei on my buck list. I do wish that they’d showed them years later as a married couple with Polo and the little boy from the orphanage as their son. I don't understand why all of the women wore heels.Overall it was a feel good movie. I only cried once.Was this review helpful to you?

Mostly Fun & Cute Series About Overcoming the Obstacles for Finding Love
"Murphy's Law of Love" tells the story of two characters, Jai-Wei and Xiao-Tong who find themselves unlucky in love. The series opens with both characters at the end of their prospective relationships. Jai- Wei proposes to his girlfriend, only to be turned down. Xiao- Tong is at a dinner with her boyfriend, hoping that he will propose, but instead, finding out that he desires a break-up. Since both events take place nearby, it's fairly predictable that the two characters inadvertently bump into each other.Xiao-Tong is a psychologist who works at an internet dating company. For all of her philosophies about love, it's clear she knows very little about it. She's a young woman who is virtually incapable of thinking for herself. She's a bit whiny, moody, and she has a tendency to pout a lot. Xiao-Tong is someone who has been hurt so much in relationships, that she's unprofessionally given in to believing Murphy's Laws about love. Funny that psychologist is so pessimistic and negative that she would knowingly adopt such a fanciful set of arbitrary laws. Nevertheless, Xiao-Tong is a very guarded character. On the outside, she puts on a front that everything is just fine. Of course, nobody buys it. Inside, she's whirlwind of pain, angst, and self-loathing. She fails to understand that the secret of love is to, first, love yourself. You can't give what you don't have. And both characters fail to understand that true love is about the absolute courage it takes to be completely vulnerable.
Across the street is Jai-Wei who heads in own company that is in the business of renewing life through divorce. It's not as horrible as it sounds. Jai-Wei helps people come to terms in a relationship, learn to let go when it's time, and teach couples how to move on amicably. Jai-Wei is a young man who rarely smiles, has a somewhat gruff exterior, and is a bit insecure. We learn that he's had a tough past full of rejection and neglect. People who don't say "goodbye" is especially hard for a man who's in the "letting go" business. Underneath, he has a big heart. Except that Jai-Wei's problem is struggling to hold on to what he has. This puts unfair pressure on the women he's with.
However, the biggest difference between the two characters is that Jai-Wei doesn't give up. He's tenacious, and he's unwilling to allow the pains of the past to prevent him from taking a chance on love. Xiao-Tong, allowing herself to be ruled by Murphy's law, is overly cautious and unwilling to "take the plunge" when things become challenging or difficult. She's more prone to escape and run when she fears that she might get hurt again. You may not be at all surprised by which character "comes to terms" with themselves first.
Of course, like most series like this one, you have the "rival" characters, who are largely predictable and typical. You also have the character of Jai-Wei as a rich man pursuing the woman who is still living with her parents and being ordered about by them. These are the same parents who love to meddle in their daughter's affairs. Meddling always about yourself and never about the person you're proclaiming to help. It's still ironic that so many people in the world actually believe that a person can't be happy if they are not in a relationship.
The series also has the "secret past" for one of the characters that is a hurdle and an obstacle that must be overcome if things are to progress. In many ways, Eastern romance stories can be just as easily bogged down by formulaic situations as Western ones.
Still, the series is mostly very cute, and above all, it's light. It doesn't get tied up in too many twists and turns, nor does it get too melodramatic.
As a western viewer, just remember to try and put your "prism" aside. You still have the controlling Asian male who loves to order his girlfriend around, tell her what she's going to do or not going to do, and who also loves to grab her by the arm. Obviously in the west, if a man tried that, he'd likely end up with a black eye or worse. However, in the east, it's not so frowned upon. After living in South Korea and China, I've seen my share of this type of behavior. If this easily offends you, then you may have a hard time watching this series.
The performances are very good across the board, and the scenery of Taiwan is an added bonus.
Of all of the Asian series I've watched so far, Korea's "Descendants of the Sun" is easily my favorite with Japan's "Good Morning Call" just behind it. Still, if you're looking for a good time with some laughs and nothing that gets too serious, this is an enjoyable series

The first half of this drama was exciting and fun to watch. It was fast-paced and had a proper flow. The middle was meh! so many unsupported misunderstandings. The last part was just flat and tasteless. Probably this is because I was expecting more which did not come. The Female Lead acting was really good. I especially adore her facial expressions. She is like a little kitten, lol. The male lead and this droopy face that is just funny. I know his character is supposed to be cold and all but damn. That face!!! The supporting cast did a superb job. I love them.
Overall, this is an okay watch. Very chill and doesn't have too much heavy emotions.

The message is about fixing past relationship mistakes first before starting a new one. Unfortunately Guan Xiao Tong did not learn about this important principle before declaring herself as love guru. Neither was Ji Jia Wei whom both ex and mom left him without any clue. The main couple have to learn the hard way thru arguments and two break ups. Good acting (Danson Tang, Ivelyn Li, and Jolin Chien), although good chemistry is shown only in the last episode when they're cleared from past wounds. Psychologist My Foot!
Honestly if the FL was my Psychologist, I’d drop her. She acts like an expert in relationships, but she is far from one. She makes up this 4G theory while roaming around in sadness after her first breakup. People are constantly telling her that she should do a little self care, but she is always the martyr saying she’s fine. Her new boyfriend does all he can to make her happy & she gives him no feedback into what she really wants, needs, etc. He is constantly telling her he can’t know what is troubling her unless she opens up to him. Again, it’s the trite, I’m fine. She gets annoyed when he does things for because it’s not what she wanted. Girl, if you don’t have a heart to heart & talk to him, how is supposed to know. second time to watch Taiwanese drama i liked many points in
like they could repeat wearing same clothes as in reality
they didn't focus on make-up and fashion more than normal
they wear like normal people in real life
and the plot was really good except ep. 16, 17, 18 -_- the FL raised my temper in so much
but in general
this one is really a v.good one except 2 main points bothered me much
1st
the character development for the FL was nearly zero for me
it wasn't logical at all as a Psychiatrist she had all these defects
weak, coward, stubborn, hesitating and selfish and didn't face herself with all that
i saw her selfish cause till the very end she insisted to part away from the ML instead of facing
in the contrary she prefered to separate much more easier
starting from the second half of ep. 16 it was torture seeing her insists that the defect was only from the ML
seeing the ML changed and begging her he and his friends was really teasing me so much
why they should all creating chances and begging her to get bk to him while she is the stupid one
i really respect her point of view when the ML was pushing her away and made many mistakes could end any relation
but she did the same and worse till her friend shouted at her as if she was waiting someone to tell her she is stupid, weak and selfish this was so weird
she was torturing the ML with no need really
many times i want to kick or slap her badly
i can't stand the weak character at all
and she was weak till the end
2nd
they didn't make the simulation well at the scenes when both ML & FL was faraway from each other
and i never saw such a cold dog like that one he never wags his tail at all or even being happy when he saw his owner
that made me wondering many times
except that i saw it very nice drama make ur heart jump out of ur chest many many times
it has many fluffy moments ^_^
and Danson was an amazing actor really i loved him
