Episode Title: Hand in Hand
There are five families living in the same neighbourhood of Ssangmundong, Dobong District, Northern Seoul. The neighbourhood is filled with warmth and love because everyone shares and cares for each other. Being the second daughter in the family with an elder sister and a younger brother, Sung Deok Sun often feels that she is being neglected by her parents. Am I the only one who felt like this episode was a complete story on its own?Each family, how they live, their little problems...It was so cute and heartwarming🥰🥰I cried for Deoksun, her sister is literally bullying her every day, and she’s being neglected and forgotten, is it because she's the middle child?!🤔As for Sun Woo, I think his mother might have a hard time with him not telling her everything, especially since he’s always been so open with her.And then there’s Jung Hwan, who shares nothing with his mother. She has to hear everything from the other moms, that’s so sad.I’m not married and don’t have kids yet, but I feel like I’d be heartbroken if other mothers knew things about my child while mine kept everything from me, even when I asked!!The episode was long "1 hour and 28 minutes" and it took me even longer to finish it. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, instead it actually made me feel like this is going to be a great drama!!

Grabbed me from the first frame as I am a sucker for heroic blood shed genre. Also, Deok-sun's bit later on got me bare emotional ngl. =[ Overall wholesome =]

Although I was born later after 1988, the first episode depicts my childhood quite well and I find it relatable. I usually find the first 3 episodes of drama quite boring but it's not for this drama.The introduction of the characters and the jokes are good. And of course the ending is 💯. Deoksun's anger at the dining table, the conversation between father and daughter, those are such touchy scenes and then ended with good jokes. What a good episode. I rewatch it numerous time

Nothing happens, but at least it's not as bad as the one after. The character introductions weren't that bad, I suppose.

At first I found it reallyyy boring but the little funny jokes saved me. I was confused if I had to continue watching the next episodes because I couldn't stand the very long duration but then.. I cried. I think it's the only drama that could make me cry on the first episode and so I decided to watch the other episodes and thank God I did!
This episode told us the background of each character and what 1988 there was like, I think it was a good start for this drama.

What a great first episode! The only other one I've watched in the reply series is reply 1997 and it took me a good three episodes before I decided to not drop it and get into it.
Reply 1988 starts off quite well; I love the way they distinguish the differences between the families and introduce our characters one by one. I loved seeing the family dynamics and I already love the casting and can't wait to see more! Gahh and the same parents from reply 1997 haha I love it!

Finalmente começando o último da franquia! E já citando Tom cruise, Richard Gere e new kids on the block que minha mãe e minha tia vivem falando parece que já conheçoesse começo foi beeem diferente dos outros que já deixa o suspense de com quem a pronta vai casar, mas o mesmo caos continua. O que o Jung Hwan tem hein? E o ator que faz o pai dele achei o personagem tão irritante apesar de amar ele em 94. Amando ver rostos conhecidos e empolgada pra saber o que vai acontecer!
