The best is Ji Yi, the most surprising and fresh character here. How smart, understanding and open-hearted she is, the way she reacts to others attitude... can somehow influence your own mind. I dont like the acrtess's (Im Ji Yeon) look and acting at all, but I love the character and only it. She is a poor peson who'd never do bad things to become rich, but she's really different from similar characters of other dramas.
Second favorite is Chang Soo, a rich guy with beautiful heart and handsome look. Of course he fell in love with the personality of Ji Yi, everyone falls for her, even his arrogant richy mother did. He turned to be a very sensitive and sensual guy. He is a rich guy who can not give up his status, money and family just because of love, but instead he convince the high society to love his lover too!
Park Hyung Shik was the best at acting here, for me, he expressed the feelings so freakingly good.
I liked Yoon Ha and Joon Ki too. Just these characters seem not written good enough. I even liked Uee here, though I never liked her before.
Yoon Ha is my third favorite here. A rich girl who doesn't want to live in the high society world and believes in pure love.
JoonKi is a raw character. He is a poor guy who wants to be a part of high society no matter what, but still has kind heart.
Sung Joon is the actor who I don't like any role of and I don't know if he is A good or bad actor, but I'm attracted to his personality... I don't know how it happened, I think the reason is that his facial expessions are lively, he is not the robot kind of face.
I litirary skipped ALL the scenes with other characters. (One exception is the scenes of Joonki's mother with Yoonha or JoonKi.) So actually I watched only about halves or less of every episode. I hate that spoiled high society arrogant stupid talkes and cliches. It is just disguisting.
That's it)

My 5th kdrama ever and it was kind of disappointing but not at the same time. The only reason I decided to watch this was because I had seen an edit of Park Hyungsik in this drama and wanted to give it a try. But looking at the year of the drama, I knew it wouldn't be at the same quality as the other 4 I had seen. The cast was a cast I didn't and still don't know and their acting was okay. Definitely think Park Hyungsik was the saviour of the show. His relationship with SFL was the reason I had continue to watch the show. The best scene was for sure the scene where Chang Soo had broke down in front of his mother and you could actually see that the mother felt bad for her son.
Overall, this show could've been done a lot better but I hadn't originally expected much from it.

Honestly…
if I am being honest I watched this show and found no interest in the story or in the lead couple. However the second lead couple delivered. At one point I ended up mainly mostly only watching the second lead couple parts when they were talking to others or with each other. I could careless about everything else and the main couples story isn’t dry it just isn’t as interesting. To be HONEST it feels very typical and the chemistry between the two doesn’t feel real compared to the second lead couple. On a side note I really enjoyed Park Hyung-sik’s performance and as well as Lim Ji-yeon

Honestly this drama was so bland, the only saving graces for this drama were the second lead couple. Their chemistry was so realistic, natural, and very tongue and cheek while the main couple’s chemistry was so bland, lifeless and dull.I was slightly invested in the main FL’s storyline as she was abused by her family and especially her mother whom hated her. I was I’m waiting for the main FL to become successful and show her worth to the family but it never came. The resolution to her dealing with her issues revolving her family were a quick fix with no explanation, and her working to prove her family was nonexistent. I was so disappointed.
I gave this drama 3 stars only because of the 2nd lead. Its worth to skip over the ML’s parts and watch theirs. I am sad that they weren’t the mains because they could have made an excellent show together and I would be willing to watch them just banter back and forth.

A case study in failed character endearment
This is not a great show. To be honest, I struggled to finish it, even taking a break for a year or two in the middle. But there's nothing glaringly wrong with it on the surface. The premise is fun, the acting is decent, the production value standard for its release date. So what went wrong?Writing. It always comes down to writing. Sure the dialogue is slow and dry and obvious, but I think there are deeper structural problems which make this a failure in my eyes. The biggest among these is a failure to endear the main characters to the audience. On the surface, it seems an heiress working part-time would speak to humility and empathy, but really she has her own selfish reasons. Ji-yi is nice (and probably the best character) but she has little agency and is mostly nice in the polite sense. The guys? They're both kind of jerks. Jung-gi is a manipulative gold digger who I never forgave and while Chung-su has a heart of gold he never really puts his money where his mouth is.
So why do we care? Why are we slogging through this drawn out mediocre plot with zero interesting developments or unexpected twists? Personally, I was hoping our mc would turn out to be very competent and defeat her foes using her wits and her wiles. Not so. She is bad at her job, and the only good business idea in the whole series is Ji-yi's idea! What! And we never see Ji-yi get rewarded for that either! The mc takes all the credit and now I care even less about her.
But the romance! What about the romance? Meh. Whatever. Started out cute, but once they got together the chemistry just wasn't there. Chung-su was tsundere without the dere. I think he made three expressions of affection the entire show. Meanwhile jung-gi is a demon sent from hell to pray on the innocent. Enough said.
So we spend most of the show fretting over what will happen in these romances which aren't convincing to these characters who we don't like. And nothing interesting ever happens! Needless to say, not a fan. I don't recommend.

Feels half finsihed
This show needed another 2 episodes or a longer flash forward as so many of the ongoing subplots were not really addressed or wrapped up.- What happened with Older Brother / Sister battle?
- Did parents stay married or not?
- the Mistress new life
Then you had mention or characters that basically did nothing for the overall story. The middle sister, the ML father, the 2nd ML Father mentioned but never had a scene not his other brother?!?
For all the 2nd ML drama with his Mother & FL 2 they did not show much beyond the flash forward, showing them living together, wedding would've been nice ending for them. Kinda let down the FL 1 and ML 1 only took the next step a year later, so what happened in that year?!??
Outside of these gaps, the acting was decent, the family dynamics were interesting andf the FL 1 had nice business clothes in the later half.
It just didn't feel complete at the end.

Watch for Park Hyung Shik
Premise: Jang Yoon-Ha is the youngest daughter of a chaebol (family owned conglomeration). Even though her family is extremely wealthy, she holds a part-time job at a food market. She hides her background as an heiress and attempts to find a man that loves her for herself. (taken from Dramacool website).I watched this b/c of Park Hyung Shik (I recently finished watching Hwarang and needed to see plenty more of his magnificent face). He plays the second male lead and his part is much more compelling than our main leads.
This was my first rich girl/poor boy story and for the most part I enjoyed it but it's nothing to write home about plus Uee (Yoon Ha) and Seong Joon (Choi) were no match for our second leads Park Hyung Shik (Chang Soo) and Im Ji Yeon (Ji Yi). Yoon Ha's family was terrible and I genuinely felt bad for the girl. She has one of the worse mother's I have ever seen in a drama. Choi's face was so smug I couldn't get past that or his arrogance even though everything he told Yoon Ha was quite accurate.
Chang Soo and Ji Yi were so adorable and I about died when Chang Soo's heart was broken b/c of all this not being able to be with a person you love b/c they are considered beneath your station!! Lucky us we get a happy ending and I loved that and cheesy as it was.
Overall great soundtrack but I won't watch again. Except maybe to see Park's face!!

watchable to an extent
Though im only halfway through this, i gotta say this drama had a tremendous potential which was sadly wasted. Most previous reviewers pointed out its flaws, and they are right. My major objection is to the way the pairs were made. Im sure that, if the leads had just exchanged partners, we'd have got a totally interesting story. The FL and the SML obviously formed a bond at the first meeting, and their disturbed relationship had a lot of potential. Also, the ML falling for the SFL - who courted him so sincerely during the first episodes - would help him solve his love vs money dilemma. Despite ppl saying that the SFL is so cute and sweet, i totally think she is plain as a character. I would've rather embraced a love triangle where the male leads fight for the same women, since they seem to be in constant competition anyway... The villain brother is also more engaging as a character. But alas! We get what we get. The director must've been very determined to give us rich/poor couples, instead of considering their personalities. Also, if the 1st couple is said to have little chemistry, id rather blame the stiff ML - i noticed this in his other dramas. While the charming Hyung Sik never fails to impress, adding a nice depth to his character.
Still we get good-looking actors, nice clothes, nice places... Watchable when nothing else comes in handy.

The romance is so good.
The lines are so good.
The chemistry is so good.
The second couple are so in love I cannot take it.
2nd FL wins best Second Female Lead E.VER!!!
The ost is a feel good ost
The whole drama is a feel good one.
I expected a heavy melodrama I'm glad it isn’t …or is it… turning into one.
I wish it was longer. I watched it so quickly and it felt like it left a greater impact.
Also it felt like old dramas; a drama with a plot, not just a concept. I really enjoyed it, a lot.
I’m so happy writers like this one exist. Her dramas are always full of soul and love. They don't feel like empty shells, with an empty concept. Yes, they all become melodramatic and maybe draggy but I don't mind that, because it does have meaning in some way.

Most unpleasant characters I ever watched in a drama
Things I loved1 You must be kidding. Nothing and when I say nothing I mean nothing, not even one line they said, not even one thing they did.
Things I liked
1 That it was so ridiculous and over the top that it was funny.
Things I disliked
1 The ML actor. He wasn't the worst actor but his character was so unappealing. I truly didn't care what happened to him and I never felt he was really in love with the FL.
2 The 2ML actor. His character but more that he accepted to play in this drivel. He became one of my favorite actors after watching Strong Woman and now I wonder if he was a good actor or if it was just a fluke his performance in Strong Woman. Such a pity that he wasted his time in this awful terrible series.
Things I hated
1 The FL. What an unpleasant stupid character and what an untalented average actress. I thought at first she would be me favorite but she was such a stupid person that I couldn't take it after a while. One thing is sure, I'll avoid any drama with her.
2 The sister. I won't even waste my time to list why. She's an awful person and the actress is ugly and untalented.
3 The 2FL. I hear from everyone that she was the best. Well, I disagree. She was as unpleasant as the others and jus because she was poor doesn't mean she was smarter, kinder, or anything better. In the last episode when she tried to play cute with the 2ML and be witty with the mother I hated her even more. I think she was just a cunny woman who didn't have any manners, any wit and and any competences. I dare say she was worst than the FL. I won't go that far, though. Both were as unlikable as it gets. Needless to say that I will avoid her dramas as well.
4 The mother. She should get the crown of worst mother, although with K dramas we have the choice. Such a ridiculous character, I never felt an ounce of sympathy for her. I know she had an awful life, but she deserved it. I hated her from the first scene and it lasted until the last one.
5 The father. I'm not sure who imagined that despicable person, but he ruined the series more than anyone. What was the purpose of his character? Other than being a monster, what was his role? I wish he had some things coming to him, something truly bad. Alas, he was still the same monster in the last episode.
6 The lack of chemistry between the couples. No difference to me. None had any chemistry. Unless shouting and talking like two stupid people is considered chemistry these days. The kisses were bland, the words were awful. I can't believe in the last episode that they were talking about divorce before even get married. This must be the worst chemistry I've seen between couples and the way they treated their relationships was shocking to say the least. I remember the chemistry between the 2ML and his partner in Strong Woman and wondered what was he doing there.
7 The narration of the FL. She made it sound like she was telling something deep and insightful when what she said was so trite and stupid, I wasn't sure she had all her mind every time she talked.
