The Tea Sommelier Competition starts with eight contestants. The first stage tests their skills in tea picking. They are asked to pick 50g of premium tea leaves from 1kg of third-tier tea leaves. Xin Yu completes the test at the last second along with Ding Yi Rou, the champion from the previous competition, Yuan Shao Yi, and two other contestants, leaving the other three contestants disqualified. Yuan Shao Yi secured his champion title by obtaining the perfect score in the next test, whereas Yi Rou and Xin Yu obtained 17 points, taking second place. However, Xin Yu obtained a perfect score, 10 points for accuracy in picking tea leaves, whereas Yi Rou only obtained 8. Master A Fei clarifies to Zheng Hao that Yi Rou has an issue of being too eager to advance, so she would not go much further in the path of teaism.
