Xia Le Di was an arrogant, self-absorbed socialite before her father's bankruptcy left her penniless. She believed that it happened because his competitor stole "Mona Lisa," a revolutionary makeup technology that his company developed. She vowed to get it back. She went undercover at JEALOUS, the rival company, working as an assistant to Chang Yu Jie, the heartless operation manager/lead makeup artist. While she focused her investigation on him, her romantic interest wandered to his charming half-brother Chang Shao Feng. But unbeknownst to her, the half-brother was the real culprit behind the theft.

With the same main actress, the two stories similarities are mainly in the main character, all bubly and a little idiotic but full of enthousiasm !
In bith of theses dramas, the woman add trouble finding a job before settling down thanks to a good offer and then thanks to theses jobs, meet a man.
Both of theses stories talk about what happen in the past that made the main characters who they are now and we can see relationship developping with the importance of the past behind them.
Even tough the relationships and how the are growing up on each other is different both dramas have the same feeling~

While the plots of She Was Pretty and Marriage, Not Dating are totally different, both shows give off a similar vibe. They're both rom-coms where the male lead is adamant about not falling for the female lead but slowly ends up doing so. The female leads in both shows are lower in status (than the male lead), and a little eccentric and over the top at times but, without meaning to, end up capturing the attention of the male leads. The chemistry between all of the characters in both shows is good as well.

1. Office Romance
2. Both ML have some sort of trauma
3. Cold/Aloof ML
4. Romantic comedy genre
5. Devoted ML to FL
6. ML (Park Seo Joon) of SWP actually acted in OG WWSK as the ML (Korean Version)
7. Both SML have some secret author element
And SWP is a really fun, light, hearted watch - really enjoyed it.

ML is an actor but not too popular anymore & broke so he rent a room in FL house.
FL is a nerdy geeky/otaku girl who like to imagine & day dreaming about romance with her favorite manga/comic book character. Remind me of Rainie Yang & Jiro Wang drama....& still 1 of my favorite drama....If you like this genre this is a must watch romance comedy drama....

1) Pak Seo Joon is in both.
2) Pak Seo Joon's character's personality is a bit like Siwon's personality in She Was Pretty (hilarious and a childish..in a good way!)
3) In both of the stories, the main characters are working in a office for a magazine & there is a boss/employee romantic relationship going on.
4) Both are fast-paced and make you laugh a lot!
In short, if you like SWP, I think you'd like WR :)!

Similar Characters
- The female lead's character in both are supposedly unattractive (tho imo neither are)
- In both dramas there is some way that the female lead makes herself attractive/feel attractive. In filter it's the bracelet while in She Was Pretty she straightens her hair and puts on makeup
- Fl in both dramas are nice and caring
- ml in both dramas come off as a bit arrogant and rude tho in SWP he is much more so
Hidden/secret identities
- In both dramas the ml doesnt know real identity of the woman hes spending time with
- In SWP he thinks his childhood friend is the fl's prettier friend and believes he will be in love with her. This is similar to the first version of Cheng Cheng the ml in filter fell in love with.
- In both the ml piece things together overtime
- In both dramas the fl also believes at least for part of the drama that the ml dislikes her.
- In both dramas the ml falls for the real her
Work relationship
- The characters work together
- The ml is a superior at work while the fl is a new employee
One thing though is she was pretty is it felt a bit more serious and dramatic then Filter at least to me. There's also a prevalent love triangle that is not present in Filter. For a shorter version of this story I recommend the Japanese adaptation as well
