Story
I know a lot of people disliked Moorim School. I don't know why exactly, maybe it's because of the storyline? In order to like this plot, it's important you don't dislike Science Fiction, because yes, there's a lot of it in this kdrama. But personally I enjoy the genre and I think they did a good job on working it out. I feel like the plot is unique. Having one of those times you're just craving for some action? I'd recommend this drama.

Characters
I really liked most of the characters, especially Wang Chi Ang and Shi Woo. They can be really funny but create heartbreaking moments at the same time. I also enjoyed the relationships between the characters.

Acting
The acting in this drama was great, honestly. Hongbin did a really, really good job considering he's an idol and acting is not his profession. Hyun Woo did great as well. As for Ye Ji... Sometimes I have to see other kdrama's with one actor before I realize how good they really are. When I watched Hwarang, I noticed how her character had a completely different personality in both series, but she still pulled off both so well.

Music
Now you must think: Wow, what? Is the BG thát good, since I gave a 10 for it? Welll, this series isn't famous for its OST like Kill me, Heal me is. And I'll admit, maybe most of the BG isn't all that special. But to me VIXX' song 'Alive' is very special. It's my favourite song all time, which is quite a thing. The melody amazing, but the greatest thing about it are the lyrics. The lyrics is so motivating! Of course this opinion is quite personal but because of 'Alive' I think the music deserves 10/10.

The story advances in a uniform manner until episode 9-10, when begins to lose all interest in a senseless plot and with an incoherent script.

I kept watching because of the actuations. The best are Ye Seo Ji - always fun - and Lee Hyun-woo, always sensitive and very cute. But the romantics scenes between them had too little chemistry so this couple couldn't seem believable.

The music was appropriate, but nothing detachable.

Overall this is a nice drama to watch.
The story is nice. About power, greed, friendship, betrayal, love, sacrifice, united.
Most cast may be not experience or famous actor/actress but still not bad act from everyone.
What make me continue to watch is...
1. to know what is the ending of the three love triangle between Sui, Sun Deok and Chiang.
2. If the father will be reunited with his two lost childrens.
3. who is the actual killer/bad guy.

Logic sometimes doesn't track, most villains are cartoonish, and somehow I still give it a 7?

I'll jump write into it. I enjoyed it for decent chunks. It's not award winning stuff, and it has full scenes that are just dumb and sometimes even annoying.

There's a character that pretty much talks more in English than Korean but if it's supposed to be implied that it's his first language, the ball is dropped, he'll sometimes form a sentence in a way that has never been used before and genuinely just takes you out of the scene, on top of the character just sucking in general. The guy doesn't even have a redemption arc but is mentioned positively at the end for who knows what reason. The show even tries to teach a lesson of... "|even those who betray you are still your comrades"... The fuck? What are the writers smoking with that one... it's brought up more than once. Cut toxic people out of your lives, you're not a stepping stool.

Some antagonists smile and give evil triumphant looks in moments where it really doesn't make sense, and are as mentioned in the headline, cartoonish.

With all this negative talk, how did I still give it a seven? Well, the main cast does some heavy lifting, decent acting and a decent story involving them if you ignore most of the "villains" involved. (The evil dad is the only worthwhile antagonist).

Lastly but certainly not least, the show bumped up its rating by probably a full point, if not more, by letting the story breathe and continue after the climax. I have an irrationally powerful hatred for stories that end soon after the big moment and leave so much for the audience to fill in and assume. The series showed us where the characters are. their relationships, and key moments for the last half of the final episode, and that in itself bumped it up.

This had the most bizarre opening episode - highly unattractive male characters and "celeb"/rich kid background but the cute female saved it. Then you got curiously drawn in to see what happened next, so continued watching. Up to episode 5 - good, despite an uncertain start (I mean are rich/celeb kids really that openly awful) and some predictable plot, boy-girl etc I hoped it would not lose momentum over so many episodes, but was drawn in then, though. Some nice comic turns from Seo Ji's step-mother. EDIT. As at ep 8 this keeps taking unpredicted turns which takes it to a new level of excitement and interest, not just a bunch of kids flopping around in a martial arts school (yawn), though I'm beginning to find the M/F romance angle all very trying and detracts from the story. Too much intrusive music. ep. 11 more s/natural interest, too much martial arts for me. Like the lipstick, boys. This gets better. Just don't understand KangHae's review, but each to his taste. I am now on ep.14 and the soppy romance is really getting in the way of the action while doing nothing for the emotions (this person's anyway). I also continue to find the music intrusive - that's not to say it's not good or appropriate, just why must there be overwrought singing to virtually every scene, literally drowning out what the characters are saying and what's going on ? But Lee Hyun Woo saves it for me, he's a good actor. Ep. 15 things hotting up again, looks like a good ending in prospect. I'll be glad to say "Goodbye" to that song, though, it's like a headache. Ep.16 - good finish, it was certainly a "cliffhanger" :) - everything neatly wrapped up (too neatly for my taste). Predictable in outline if not in all the details. I'm still not sure what's supposed to have happened in that moment of high drama. It was a real pity the bromance angle receded so much during most of the series. And why the h*** did Yoon Shi Woo change from blonde to dark half way through?? Certainly did him no favors. I did not find the ending, where the writers seem to have wanted everyone to literally have everything, convincing. It seems the writers opted for safety and their conventional audience. Then we have the strong bromantic love suddenly hitting us in the very last scene! which suggests to me this was supposed to matter even more than their blissful wedded partners. Hope it did. But the whole thing was very confusing. So it was good enough to stay the course - which for me is an achievement over 16 episodes - but for me sagged a bit in places, so had to have faith. Should have been shorter in my humble opinion. For me the lack of bromance after the earlier episodes did not help. They just managed to come up with some plot twists and action often enough to keep the flame burning. I'd say 10 in places, 6.5 in others but 8.5 overall. I'm not marking down the overall due to lousy music and indifferent re-watch value, though. It's the story and acting that count. Did not quite live up to my initial expectations or the excitement and bromance built up in some episodes . Very unlikely to re-watch.

At first, i only watch this drama because of Lee Hyun Woo. I love the storyline, its simple but somewhat lacking. The acting was great, they portray it beautifully. In the two last episodes, i find it like it was fast paced.
If you hesitate to watch this, do watch. Its worth to watch but not sure to rewatch.

Lots going for it

I'll start by saying that if you like to watch a drama about friendship, this is a good one to watch.

This show had a lot going for it. This drama did an EXCELLENT job with the main characters, for the most part. The two male leads, from the beginning, were obnoxious and unlikeable, each in their own way. I really appreciated them learning to work together and the friendship that they developed. Their characters grew pretty early on, so then it got easier to watch them. As for the female leads, I loved how they didn't make them romantic rivals with all the backstabbing that entails, but made them good friends. Seo Yea Ji as Shim Soon Duk, after the first couple of episodes, became the type of female lead that I really enjoy - smart, caring, a little quirky. In the first couple of episodes her reactions were very over-the-top and jarring. Thankfully that didn't last long. I just love her voice, as well. I almost didn't recognize her, since this drama is a few years old, but her voice gave her away. As for the romance, I didn't quite get why the male characters liked who they did, it just happened right away without any buildup.

My main problem with this drama was the production quality. I'm showing my age here, but it reminded me of when I used to watch Dark Shadows when I was a teen. The graininess of the film and the cheapness of the sets really bothered me. And did they run out of money to hire extras? Were there really only about 10 people at the school? It seemed like they tried to find at least a short backstory for each of the people, which at times made the script very clunky, because nothing was developed fully.

So, for me, the drama was good, not great, but I loved the friendships.

One of the best school dramas I have seen. Romance, fantasy, friendship, action, and other things made this drama interesting and not a drag like other dramas. The actors did really good and fitted their characters well. I have watched dramas where the character doesnt suit the actor/ actress well making the drama kinda cringy. That wasnt the case here and can i just say how much i loved the female lead. The character and actress were sooooo likeable and hilarious. The story was interesting and didnt seem to drag much. Friendship was highlighted in this drama and i really enjoyed those sweet moments with the ML and FL. Also there weren't many cliches which is what i liked most.
Its a really good drama to watch. I highly recommend it. :)

Being honest, this drama is 100% perfect!!!

I'm not kidding, I think this drama is just perfect and the best I've ever watched, I can't find any flaws on it!

I've heard many people say this drama is trash, but I just can't understand why. The story is fantastic, inspiring and exiting, it was well written, everything was well explained and even the end was perfect.

I loved the scenario, the fight scenes (the way they'd move and jump and the looks on their faces made it look so really!!) and the effects of this, it was all so well made and created a powerful yet sentimental environment. Point for the producers of this!!

The songs are just amazing, they're powerful and have an amazing vibe, I downloaded them to my phone and I always listen to them (I'm listening to alive right now), every time the songs would start playing I'd be like "This is about to get serious!!!!", the authors of the songs did an amazing job!! Point for them!

The cast was so good! The actors are amazing and they made me feel all the emotion of the drama! The girls are really pretty and the boys too (Specially, Lee Hyun Woo, I fell in love with him!). Also, point for the cast!!

With this drama I got to know Hongbin from Vixx, and he's amazing! Every time he smiled I'd die! Point for Hongbin!

I felt all the emotions of this drama! I cried my eyes out whenever there was a sad situation and I'd get really excited watching the fight scenes, I'd get scared whenever they'd be face to face with the bad guys. But specially I'd be fangirling like crazy when there was romance, I'd literally scream! I liked the love triangle, like, they give you little clues about who she'll choose but suddenly something happens and it seems like she'll choose the other boy. And I also liked the little bit of comedy in there. I didn't get even a little bored watching it, not even one time, it always caught my attention in every single moment. So, point for the emotions!!

The story itself was already amazing, I was always confused about who were the bad guys, I would think they were certain people but then i'd doubt that and the plot twists!!! Wow!! Amazing!! Point for the story!!

This is really inspiring and teaches amazing lessons, the whole point of the story isn't to be just a fighting drama, this teaches us how family and friends are important and how we should protect and trust them, because no matter what they'd always be there for us, even if we turn our back to them and change ourselves, they'll always be there, the drama shows us that that is the most important thing in our lives, love and friendship, so we should treasure them, that we shouldn't abandon them even for the most powerful thing in the world.
It also teaches that no matter what, we should always be ourselves, because that's when we are happier and that's all that matters, being brave is not having any fear, being brave is not being afraid of being who we are. Point for the inspiration!!

The ending was perfect, it was beautiful and inspiring, it ended just like I wanted to, the questions "What happens next?!" or "What about that thing?! They didn't explain it!" didn't exist in this drama, the ending explained everything pretty well, even the things that will happen in the future. It's perfect! Point for the ending!!

I recommend this to everyone, really!! You won't be disappointed! If you like romance, action, drama, mystery and more, everything is in this drama! You won't ever get bored and you will learn many things! Point for this!

I would rewatch it forever, if someone forced me to watch it everyday I wouldn't mind, I'm planning on watching it again with my friend and then with my sister. So, also point for this!

I think I could talk forever about this drama, because the compliments won't ever end. So, I think this also deserves a point!

If you out all the points together how much is it?? Yep 11 points out of 10, that's my rating for this drama, but unfortunately I can just give it 10.

So good luck watching the drama!! You won't regert!!

Everything was really interesting from the start but then in the middle they lost me. I decided to continue watching it because I wanted to know what really happened to the main characters, secrets, etc.
The story was good but I think the script was the main problem here. The writers wanted to put drama, fantasy, romance and friendship in all episodes, it was a mess sometimes. Some of the episodes were really boring and I think 16 episodes were too much.
I'm really glad that they used young and unknown actors(there are exceptions of course) for this drama, and let's not forget - foreign. Lee Hyun Woo did a great job, I loved Seo Ye Ji's voice but for the rest of them I can't say much. I was really excited for Hong Bin and he had really good scenes but sometimes it didn't feel right and natural. Alexander Eusebio speaking English made me cringe the whole time and it's not because he isn't good, I just hate those random English phrases thrown in the middle of a conversation.
I couldn't feel the romance here, they tried too hard to make us feel the chemistry but ... On the other hand the friendship was the best thing in the whole drama.
The OST was incredible, Vixx did a great job. When I'm listening to the songs, I want to fight.

It sounds like I really hate this drama but it's not like that. I liked it but it wasn't my favorite thing this year. It's great to watch it with friends or when you have free time. There were really good scenes and I appreciate how hard the cast was working because we saw incredible Martial Arts.

I had high expectations about this drama. At first it was like so exited to see Lee Hyun Woo and Lee Hong Bin. The story is good at the begging, the drama introduce all the characters, but there are so many that follow the storyline turns boring. I expected exciting fights and supernatural powers, but in change normal fights, supernatural powers showed 4 or 5 times. The climax start in the ep 12, that's right, 5 episodes to develop the true story, ep 15 would be great in the middle of the drama.
The end...predictable, happy ending, win-win. But... yeah in the other hand it teach about love, friendship, loyalty, forgiveness, family. By the way, Lee Hyun Woo killer smile is an important point to watch until the end this drama.
