Everything is nearly perfect, especially the main cast. Doo Joon is born with the King's face. I did not know about BEAST and did not know he is idol before watching this drama. So surprise that he can convey all these emotions. He can express many faces of the king and a man. I think this role suits him better than the role in Let's eat. I did not pay attention on Kim Seul Gi in Surplus Princess, but I start to like her in Oh my Ghost but she is not outstanding enough in OMG. Now, I am totally impressed by her in Splash Splash love. Her acting is very good and natural. She looks so younger in SSL than her other dramas. The chemistry between the two main leads is both intense and cute at the same time.
The combination of story, direction and music are great that I had to search the writer and PD immediately. The writer is new and I also saw the old tv drama of this writer. In that drama, Kim Seul Gi is also the main lead. It is also interesting even though it is cannot be good as SSL. Her next tv drama is Universe's star. I am looking forward her next TV drama. Now the writer of SSL in my writer's list. I love the way the writer/director Kim Ji Hyun created the characters and how the characters developed.
Both the main leads's story developed in their own and together. The second leads's acting is ok even though they are not perfect but due to the lack of time, I am still satisfied with them. The main leads is 10/10 acting while second lead cannot achieve 10/10 so I just give 9.5 despite the fact that I want to give 10/10 in all section.
This story has some small flaws but the most I felt sad is that in the end, he still does not know her real name. He loved her, right? At least he should know that even though I understand why the writer did that. So 9.5!
In conclusion, this TV drama is the best Korean drama I have seen recently. The story is better than both Moon lovers and Moonlight. I have to say so. This drama makes me want to see short drama. Before watching SSL, I always liked watching long Korean drama.

Extraordinary story
Years have passed and I still think fondly of this film, which I have watched again and I think I will return to it again someday.It starts out as a simple movie about time travel and a girl pretending to be a eunuch, but it's so beautiful. It touches on the subject of success in life and academic validation, of the fact that each of us is perfect at something as long as we believe in ourselves and as long as we have people by our side.
Also, the narrative thread of the love relationship between the two protagonists is sublime. A forbidden love between a girl from the future and a king from the past becomes one of the cutest love stories I've ever watched.
What is amazing is the cinematography of the movie, the scenery, the setting, I fell in love with them the first time I saw the movie. I laughed, I cried, I was happy for the characters watching the story, which has such a peaceful, but also dramatic vibe. It keeps you in suspense, captivates you and transports you too into the world of the palace.
It's also a movie that teaches you about and honors King Sejong. It shows you that there are strong people who care about the people, who want to make a change.
And the friends you make throughout your life, whether you spend a little or a lot of time with them, change your life forever. It's a movie that teaches you to have more faith in your destiny and to believe that something magical can always happen to you.

Romance Comedy Vibes
The story is about a high school girl who traveled back in the past. She became someone who could predict rain when all the people in that era had a rain ritual. After that, She disguised herself as a man to avoid getting suspicious as a girl at that time. She must survive all those conditions and search for how to get back into her real world. Was not expecting it to be this good
I came across a reel which made me want to watch it. I didn’t know there was only two episodes, but I’m glad they didn’t drag it out. It’s good enough with just two episodes since they’re longer and they get the whole story line across. At first it did feel kind of rushed, but some things that happened were quick pieces character development that didn’t need a whole ten episodes that most dramas do. I didn’t care for the OST but the acting and story is really good! Definitely a worthwhile watch!Was this review helpful to you?
Lightning in a bottle
Short but oh so sweet. I really liked the story and the message of this show.
There isn’t much of a story you can tell in just two episodes but these were jam packed with a lot of emotions, I found myself laughing a lot and really liking the stakes.
The actors did a phenomenal job of conveying a spark (and it’s not easy to be likeable in a 2 episodes story).
My one regret would be that it was too short and by the time you really get attached to the characters the drama is over. I’d have easily watched 16 episodes of this.

I RANDOMLY CAME ACROSS THIS ON TIKTOK AND I DECIDED TO WATCH IT AND IM SO HAPPY WITH MY DECISION!!! THIS WAS SUCH A GOOD DRAMA I WISH IT WAS LONGER. Funny, Cute ,lovable short and sweet drama-Must watch for fun moments
Its a cutest time travel drama i have ever watched. It dont have the serious tone time travel dramas usually has. Its simple yet beautiful drama to watch. There were few heartwarming moments are there also. Normally korean female leads used to act cute. But this FL lead is really cute to watch and apt for this schoolgirl character. Another side ML showed his great acting skills on a few emotional scenes are really nice to watch. Reminded me of "Love in the moonlight" drama--which i enjoyed watching.So i liked this too.If u looking for cute ,funny,lovable drama ,U can try this.

For those of you who are history buffs - no, this drama is not accurate or representative of what history would have really looked like, but I was totally okay with that. This story was so light and fluffy with good feelings that it'd be difficult for the average viewer not to find it appealing. I will definitely be rewatching in the future! Happy watching!

breezy enjoyable no stress micro mini series.
I had to really hunt to find this & wondered if it was worth the effort, (it was 9 years old when I watched it) ! Happily, this holds up surprisingly well & does not seem to be dated (no pun intended since it's set in the Josen period!). I'm not super fond of the female lead but they didn't try to make her the typical female lead, so I think the result was that she was a good fit for the part. This could have been longer & way more serious, with easily more drama, but as it stands, it's a breezy enjoyable no stress micro mini series. Perfect for when you don't want to deal with too much drama or invest too much emotion, but simply smile your way through (for the most part) Everything is resolved quickly & they fast forward through the passage of time ,which is refreshing-something you wish other dramas would imitate ! tidy happy ending showing why it's happy, was a nice touch. Good thing that it only has 2 episodes, eventhought they are long, and that was the reason I have watched this. It was well made. Storyline, or rather idea of it, was good, acting - mostly - was good. The worst part was Kim Seul Gi's character, she was too childlike and the age difference between her and king seemed as he was 20 years old and she was 14 years old, it felt really off because of the way her character was written, so romance part made me a little cringe.Was this review helpful to you?
