6/10 Promising.

Previous episode I got caught up in the battle and overall awesomeness of that. Things are slowing down after Mo Yuan's death, AKA Master. The episode bogs down with a lot of information dumps and setup. So everyone who knows Mo Yuan has figured he has figured out to come back. I wonder if the only way is for his body to stay preserved? Leading me to questions if it's Si Yin luck that kept her alive from piercing her heart? Will it eventually kill her? Why can't her blood preserve his body after one "drink"? So many unanswered questions.

To be honest I truly believe Li Jing and Xuan Nu are meant for each other. Si Yin is right. Now if only Li Jing would quit being wishy-washy. He could reign in Xuan Nu as an ally. Because that fool should see by know you don't piss Xuan Nu off. He already had an impression that if things went south with his brother taking over she would have fled from him to save her own skin.

So there's more setup for future kids becoming adults. Su Jin is named after her tribe for the 100,000 soldiers who died in that trick/diversion to capture the Ghost Lord. Now she is to be raised by one of Heavenly Father's son's and his wife. She is Princess Zhau Rin. The golden lotus has also accepted the new mother of Zhau Rin. I take it the golden lily will turn into a son for her. The hold heavenly lord is clearly not done and retired. He is a meddler all right! I feel like he should get a shocking taste of his own medicine in the future if you know what I mean. ^_-

Side note I totally freaked out about 4th brother outing Si Yin as a girl until I realized it was Mo Yuan's bother. The one who brought her to him! Ha-ha! My other note is the director needs to clean up his shots. If someone is sitting to the right of a person. When doing close ups you keep them on the same side. Otherwise it's very disorienting.

ep 7 spoilers ahead

1.BQ is unable to accept the death of her shifu. She becomes convinced that he will come back. She sobs by the lotus flower (she never cries) and an invisible adult YH is there watching her (clearly in love with her).

2.Li Yuan is ready to assume control of the ghost tribe. In a charged scene we learn the source of their enmity. Apparently Li Yuan's mother died because of Li Jing's mom. So Li Yuan personally strangled her. Li Jing outsmarts Li Yuan and assumes control of the ghost tribe with support of the celestial tribe. Li Yuan accuses him of being a traitor as he is dragged off.

3.Dijun (in a rare scene, not wearing purple) speaks up for Su Yin. At the same time, Su Jin is both named (apparently you get a name only after 1000 years in her tribe) and given to YH's parents to look after (they are childless, the mother is thought to maybe be barren).

4.In order to preserved her master, she swallows her pride and asks Li Jing for the Jade Stone. Li Jing says it was lost. Xuan Nu confronts Si Yin and says that it isn't lost. Having been found out, Li Jing tries to apologize but it is too late. He hits Xuan Nu hard (not really okay with that).

5.Dijun suggests in his usual vague way that 1st prince and his wife visit Kunlan for answers. She touches the lotus MY was cultivating and it disappears....now she is pregnant....it seems that the lotus was waiting for the right person and that person was her...YH will soon be born

6.Si Yin has dinner with her fellow disciples, gets them so drunk they pass out, and steals MY's body (creating one of the central conflicts in the story...)

This episode really lays the foundation for so many important things. So it was a good episode.
