A drama that was heavily promoted, ended up having 24 episodes length, had an odd story, but lived up to everyone's expectations. Wow, this reminded me of It's okay, it's love. The drama deals with the theme of breast cancer, how a man could handle feeling that he is loosing his manhood, and jealousy. The power battle in the channel was interesting, but the love triangle was the one who got the all kills. Probably, one of the best and most intense love triangle, with the guys fighting for the girl openly till the very end. The chemistry between the three of them was strong, as well as the performances. The side stories weren't that good, but nice enough to supplement the main story. Apart from the romance, the delicate issue of breast cancer was handled perfectly, as the characters went through all the stages of the treatment. Finally, the disadvantages of this drama was the odd beginning (what were those anime aliens??) and the odd ending (come on, that was cheesy!!). So, 8 out of 10.

Still a great show rewatching after 6 years

I loved it then and I love it now, maybe even more after the first watch and the second rewatch 6 years apart.
The love line of the main leads, their careers, relationships of each supporting characters are intertwined perfectly. One of the best K-Dramas ever produced, and I've watched K-Dramas since the hallyu still wasn't main stream.

The plot itself is very interesting. It portrays how people at broadcasting company works. And how the main characters fight for their path while remaining true to what they want in life, outside of their careers.

The supporting characters are all unique and you can't really hate anyone because they are so humane.

The music in each scene are just right and on point.

The actors are very natural, loving each other, fighting each other, and taking care or each other. Their friendship and relationships are lovable.

The only thing I probably don't like is how they left certain back story of the lee hwa shin's family pretty vague, as in what really happened with the family before things turned out this way. It could have been more complete and reasonable to include proper scenes to explain to the viewers.

In conclusion, you can't regret watching this one.

To me, Jealousy Incarnate is like a big bowl of sundae. It gets messy, yet it's so good. Jealousy Incarnate was frustrating to me because of the love triangle. Enough said. However, what I love about the storyline is on how it addresses the social issue of cancer. This drama does not portray journalism as somewhat boring like Pinnochio did. Although 2/3 of the drama was frustrating the ending and the sbc commercial pretty much compensated for almost everything.

THE ACTING AND CAST IS PERFECT. I LOVE THE FEMALE AND MALE LEAD. PERFECT CHEMISTRY. AWESOME ACTING.

Music is not memorable at all.

I wouldn't rewatch it just because, love triangle frustration syndrome.

Overall, watching this drama was a pretty good experience. It has some funny moments. Quite a few of frustrating and swooning moments. A lot of tear jerking laughing moments. Pretty good.

A man with breast-cancer? I bet you only heard it once or twice in your lifetime. Yes, it is uncommon but it doesn't make the illness any less threatening. When I told my friends about the plot of this drama, cancer, they were all laughing and saying "What a typical drama plot." But it's not only a romantic drama between a woman and her cancered-lover. It's a realistic drama about achieving one's dream, family, one's dignity and of course, awareness to breast cancer in males.

Na-ri's dream of becoming a news anchor constantly bashed by opinions on her age, lack of experience and connection to the higher ups. The development in Hwa-shin's character, his refusal to accept his breast cancer due to his man's dignity. Two mothers love for one child and their competition for her love in return.

Overall, it was a drama that made me cry. The acting was excellent. In my opinion these dramas are better than those viral dramas like DOTS or Goblin, just a personal preference.

she fell first he fell the hardest and stayed that way ?

Childish infatuation turned into beautiful everlasting love with stupid mess in the middle, is how I would explain the main characters' love story in this.
They made me think I was going to get second lead syndrome and masterfully fixed with how deeply in love the main lead became and how much he changed. you couldn't help but root for them.

things I liked:
-the deep love and just slowly watching him fall for her just go full speed with no break.
-how he just turns so sweet with her.
-theyre chemistry was just amazing and I loved watch them get closer.
-how naive she was and how insult just roll right off her back and she was so forgiving and understanding. I never once hated her or thought of her as a bleeppp word.
-full circle ending the couples living happily ever after is always a huge plus in my book.

What I disliked:
-episode 15 onto 19 just trash
-how wishy washy they were with the skinship and getting close to each other after finally being able to "get the girl". he was hot and cold. he had his reasons but I felt they could have executed it better.
-all the subplots that didn't sign up to watch with the ajummas

OST was a mess. the hilarious oh no no no sound killed me every time. the fashion was on point.

At first I thought this is a drama that is well written, and well done because I never thought it was going to go the direction in which it went. a well balanced medium heaviness drama that was going to find humor even in things like loss, grieving and cancer. they had struck a really great balance, in a fun respectful way... until they got to episode 15 when I feel like the drama went under new management and the person had no idea what they were doing.

overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the first half with the friends and watching him slowly come to the realization that he cares for her and then the friend getting in the middle. until episode 15 like what were they thinking with this turn of events that turned something great into a complete joke, it went from a possible 8 or 9 to 5 for me. Afterwards they sure made up for it but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Also with all the extra characters no one cared about so the rating couldnt go over a 7 for me.

I don't get why writers and directors don't get that we come to watch the MAIN character's lives and see them fall in love and go through troubles. not to watch a bunch of irellavent filler foil characters' lives. NO ONE CARES. like seriously. so stop putting effort into other characters stories over the main ones.

This drama is MESSY but AMAZING. I have some downs about this show but plenty of ups. First of all the main leads Jung-suk and Hyo-jin have amazing chemistry I don't believe I have watched a drama where the main leads are cast so well together and this was the main highlight of this show.
I love the fact there wasn't loads of new different character but a set cast who each had a story I was never bored with this show. It was funny and refreshing, they weren't afraid to talk about taboo topics that aren't shown in dramas as much e.g Sex before marriage, male breast cancer, Asexuality and more.
The only downside was the messy plot, I was not a fan of the 2 timing storyline and often found myself frustrated at the love triangle and how long it took to get on the right track but it didn't make the show any less interesting. I'd honestly recommend this show I am sad to say goodbye but at least I can still watch Jung suk on Hospital playlist.

Great story and great acting

This is a very enjoyable drama with a fantastic cast and a great story. The three main actors are all excellent, as are the supporting cast. My only complaint would be that Go Kyung Pyo seemed a bit young for his part, but then, young rich CEOs seem to be common in KDramas.

Gong Hyo Jin was an absolute delight as Pyo Na Ri. I came to this drama after having seen her in Pasta and When the Camellia Blooms after which I was quite sick of seeing her cry. Thankfully, she gets to show a wider range of emotions here making her character very sympathetic. I was really cheering for her happiness.

Jo Jung Suk played his character, Lee Hwa Shin, really well, both as a reporter and as a romantic lead.

This is a great story about friendship, unrequited love, new romance, resilience and determination with some workplace politics, competition and revenge as well. There's a lot going on but that just makes this story even better.

Rough Start, Heartwarming Story

STORY:
I'm going to say it right now, the first episode was one of the worst pilots I've ever seen. I was really questioning whether to watch this drama after experiencing the first episode. The setup for the characters was poor, especially Pyo Na Ri. I hated that she was inexplicably groping Hwa Shin's chest at different points throughout the first episode, to the point of making me uncomfortable, just so she could drop the bomb at the end that she thought he had breast cancer. Like, that's a good cliffhanger, but it was poorly executed. It just made her seem like a woman who couldn't control her sexual urges.

However, I was determined to at least give it a second chance, and the second and third episodes cleared away my disappointment with the first episode. I have giggled and squealed happily throughout this drama.

CHARACTERS:
I cannot even describe how much I love Hwa Shin's character. Yes, he's an ass. Yes, he's incredibly flawed. But when he loves, he loves with his whole being, and watching him go all out to win Pyo Na Ri was one of the cutest things I've ever seen. When he cried, I wanted to wrap my arms around him and tell him everything was going to be okay.

Jung Won is the best best friend anybody could have. I get why he and Pyo Na Ri didn't work out, so I wasn't brokenhearted when they separated. I loved that, despite how he felt about Na Ri, Jung Won stayed Hwa Shin's friend, however reluctantly.

Pyo Na Ri bothered me sometimes, especially during her teeter-tottering between Hwa Shin and Jung Won. I liked it much better when she figured out which one she really loved. I also wished she would stop bottling up how she was feeling and just be honest with Hwa Shin when she was upset; I hated it when she just kept insisting she was fine.

Anyway, this got a solid 9.5 from me; I docked a half-point for that awful beginning episode. Blech.

I don't particularly like love triangles!, because someone always ends up hurt but this drama dose make you feel a lot of passion. I hope that if you watch it as i did then even when you feel sad for the one left behind, in the end i felt like they really did give us the ending we all predicted. I still love Jo Jung Suk's acting! ^_^ priceless

This drama delighted me from episode one and kept on delivering until the very end.

This script - these actors - the directing! I can't believe how well they put it all together. The situation was so believable and I became incredibly immersed in the unfolding of the story. Such a fun main story and well handled darker/tragic subjects. What really got me was how the sideplots were paralleled to the main story, same situations of jealousy and love triangles that were solved differently due to different context or personalities.

Amazing talented veteran cast, great directing of the juniors, an ensemble that worked very well together and never disappointed. As most of the time with Kdrama the supporting characters were well fleshed out and got to have their own char development.

Brilliant editing and scinematography, keep an eye out for what goes on in the background. So many fun easter eggs, symbolism and telling through props. The music was really good and suited the scenes and atmosphere of the drama.

The story started by introducing a lot of characters with confusing relationships. Eventually, their relationships became clear. The show touched on different issues such as breast cancer in males and unconventional family arrangements. The acting and OSTs were good! These were pretty much the good side of Jealousy Incarnate

I have a lot to say about the story but I'll summarize it in one word: disappointing.

The story was confusing at first but eventually things seemed to fall into place until everything is shaken up again to another set of confusing arcs. There were characters who were given the limelight only to be thrown into the background later on. Probably the only consistent "main character" was Pyo Na Ri. Although the concept isn't original, the first half of the story actually made me think that the story would be different and special (probably groundbreaking) with how Jeong Won and Na Ri's relationship was given a long arc despite the expectation that Jeong Won is just the second lead. Yes, I fell in love with Jeong Won's character and his perfection was probably a signal that he won't be Na Ri's choice in the end; but I seriously hoped that the writers wouldn't make this another kdrama cliche. Sadly, they still did it. The second half of the story was framed badly. It basically threw the first half of the story. Like they could have just made the first half run for three episodes. Na Ri's choice is also very problematic and unconvincing. Sure, many kdramas do this, but Na Ri portrayed a foolish character of still choosing Hwa Sin who made her suffer for three years and was constantly mean and insensitive towards her. As a viewer, it was just difficult to fathom Na Ri's choices. They were able to make a clean ending with how everyone was "happy" in the end.

Overall, I can't help but be frustrated with this drama. I don't frequently experience second lead syndrome because many kdramas justify the main characters' choices. For jealousy incarnate, it just wasn't. Although I have to say, Hwa SIn is at times funny and can be anyone's crush but just not for Pyo Na Ri.

Initially it was very fun to watch, it's funny, clever and witty, but somewhere in the middle of the show, it made me bored, because of pyo na ri's attitude. I cannot understand her decision to like both of the guys, although i know that hwa shin is interesting guy but i believe the other guy is better hahaha. After that i skipped so many episodes and watched the last one.
