i love the way this drama asks more questions than it answers with every episode. this story is really honestly interesting and the way it's unraveling bits and pieces at a time is frustratingly satisfying. who's the man in black? what's the cosmic force that keeps pulling Oh Yeon Joo back into W, how much does her father know? WHAT AREN'T THEY TELLING US?! i should have waited for this to finish airing.... :{
i usually find the special effects in most Asian tv shows to be cheesy. here they are really well done and used sparingly so it's a nice visual surprise when it happens. The drama also has an overall sleek look and there are scenes where you can tell a lot of attention was paid to the atheistic. Everything from angles to lighting was considered to paint a whole picture with the camera not just shoot a scene. this is unusual for a korean tv drama.
Kang Chul finally gets his screen time and though the character isn't anything to write home about Lee Jong Suk is predictably making him likable by oozing his man-boy charm all over the place. Squeals ensue. it's fantastic.
and who is Oh Yeon Joo??? i don't think I've ever seen her before but she is awesome.

I am really enjoying this drama so far, but to be honest this episode felt pretty dragged out. The same things are constantly being brought up without moving the story forward probably- not to mention I am tired of seeing all the flashbacks we have seen countless of times. Some of the moments were hard to watch because they were embarrassing, but that's my personal issue- I don't know if that's the case with others.
But, what I loved about the episode was definitely seeing more of Kang Chul as a character. If this episode shows us anything is that he is charming, sweet and kind of a bad boy who is desperate to find out what the hell is happening to him. The actress was hilarious too, and man I feel bad for all the awkward moments she has to go through. The chemistry between the leads is great too, which I am looking forward to seeing more off.
Overall it was a pretty average episode in my opinion- that didn't really help the story move forward as much as I would have wanted it too. But, from the preview the next episode looks to be amazing- which I really hope will be the case :)
