W Episode 6

Three Stars

This episode killed the momentum for me. In previous episodes I saw Kang Chul holding and handling the gun incorrectly, and in this episode, how he discards it is criminal. But the writing in episode six seemed inconsistent with the drama's own logic, and the decisions of Kang Chul and Oh Sung Moo were out of character. I found myself wondering why stars like Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo chose to work on this project. Thankfully the previews for episode seven sparked my interest again, so I'm not dropping this just yet. As long as the characters stay true to who they are, and the story abides by its own logic and doesn't just pull unexplainable twists out of thin air, it has potential.

not the end?

The bridge from EP 5 to Ep 6 felt very much like an ending, where many of us may have expected the drama to eventually end up ten episodes down the road.

instead the writers steer into the skid and come out the other side with innumerable interesting possibilities to get us from here to there and i for one am stoked to see where this goes now that they have chucked expectation.

i was a little disappointed that out leads spent so much time apart this week but it allowed for interesting developments between them and other characters and gave the drama room lay all those wonderful possibilities i was talking about earlier at our feet. if the previews are to be believed they'll make up for it next week.

now i will sit in dramaland limbo until next Wednesday.

Avanços rápidos, emoções misturadas.

Bom, dos seis episódios que eu vi até agora, eu achei que todos os acontecimentos seriam distribuídos ao longo do drama inteiro — mas não. A gente ainda nem chegou na metade e já aconteceu tudo isso. Achei tudo muito rápido. Eles poderiam ter aprofundado melhor certos assuntos. Eu queria ter visto mais do mundo do W (webtoon), assim como também queria ver mais do mundo real, principalmente da vida profissional da protagonista dentro do hospital.Mesmo assim, não considero isso exatamente um ponto negativo, porque os episódios conseguiram me prender bastante e foram bem envolventes. Só esses dois últimos que achei mais fracos, mas o restante foi muito bom.Sobre o episódio 6, eu acho que realmente era necessário trazer o Kang Chul de volta à vida para que a história pudesse continuar. Então faz sentido tudo o que aconteceu até agora, para abrir espaço para uma nova fase do drama. Eu não sei ao certo o que esperar daqui pra frente, mas parece que vai ser interessante, com novas perspectivas e novos acontecimentos.A prévia do próximo episódio parece ser muito boa, especialmente porque mostra que vai ter bastante romance entre os protagonistas — e eu estou bem ansiosa por isso.No geral, esse episódio foi mediano, não teve nada muito envolvente. Mas, ainda assim, o drama consegue me prender — por mais incrível que pareça. Ele é bem razoável em vários aspectos, mas continua sendo interessante de acompanhar. E eu estou gostando, então já estou pronta para o próximo episódio.Novamente, sinto falta das OSTs, que quase não aparecem — só tivemos duas até agora. A direção continua bem razoável, o roteiro está legal, e é isso.
