Not one of my most memorable shows but it's a meaningful and fun story after all

Shin Suk Ho was a music producer at a large entertainment agency, wanting to start his own company. However, this new journey starts on the wrong foot and his plan falls flat on his face. As he's finding his way back, he meets Ha Neul, who gave up dreams to become a singer after losing his parents and being wrongly convicted of a crime. Will he be able to regain confidence and realize his abandoned dream along with Suk Ho?

Entertainer is surprisingly bold in presenting the shady side of the entertainment and music industry. The best part of it was undoubtedly Suk Ho's storyline, from cunning to sincere and the show gave it as much attention as it did. I enjoyed his hijinks with the boys of the Entertainer Band, without all the stress but lots of laughs and tears. The bonding that developed as they went through obstacles in pursuing their passion for music was touching, especially between Suk Ho and Ha Neul. The whole cast made their characters relatable and lovable in their own right. However, I didn't enjoy Hyeri's whining and crying that were so over the top, and it doesn't help her character being naive and rather foolish.

While the show had parts where I get bored (mostly due to pacing), it still delivers a lovely life-lesson well, that no matter how hard life gets, your friends can help realize your dreams. Regarding the ending, it was a little too perfect and fairy-tale-like, but the story made me happy with the everyone's journey.

Honestly, i found this such an amazing show. i loved all the actors and i especially loved the story to it. It brought out so much in the KPOP industry that i didn't know about til now. It honestly brought me to tears when it ended and how it ended. The story didn't miss anyone's life in the end, and i just love it. It warms my heart.

I love this drama. Hands down, one of my favorites for 2016, and I've watched many this year. It's rare for a drama to tackle so many hot topics and juggle them successfully, adding splashes of humor, a touch of romance and heaps of bromance to boot. So much love for this drama. There's some amazing themes throughout the show as well, I need to go back and watch for them again. Perhaps I had the benefit of not making too many preconceptions of the plot, but I was hooked from episode one. Normally when you hear "underdog story about a band and their manager" you'd think of... I dunno, That Thing You Do. This is not that movie. Entertainer had me nearly in tears at times (I have to say nearly because I never actually cried). And you can't give it enough credit for bringing everything around full circle the way it does. Everything has a place, even if you don't see it for a while. Kudos, writers, I should have trusted you more.

But let's break it down.

Acting/Cast: Although Ji-Sung is definitely the most veteran of the actors, I think everyone did a pretty fantastic job here. I was especially impressed with Lee Tae Sun, who debuted with this drama. He's got a future here, I hope. I've never seen Hye-ri act until now but I enjoyed her performance, giving a good blend of "grew up too fast" and "not done growing up". They gave the romance space and acknowledged the age gap in-drama, so I was satisfied on that front. If there's one person I wish had developed their character a bit more it's Jeon No-min, who was just a bit too obvious in his portrayal as villain. Ji-Sung made his character shine, and I loved him even when he was a bad word at the beginning of it all.

Music: You know it's gonna be a great drama when the first thing you hear in the first episode is ABBA. Seriously, this is one of the most listen-to-able OSTs I've heard in a long time. I loved all the different "themed" songs and the songs the band made, too.

Rewatch Value: I don't often spend hours listening to OSTs set to drama clips. With Entertainer, that's exactly what I do. I seriously could watch our Ddanddara band be cute together forever. So much love.

Thanks Entertainer, for giving me a few weeks of Kdrama crack!

Apart from Ji Sung's acting and maybe a few others (like Chae Jung Ahn and Lee Tae Sun maybe), this drama felt like a complete disaster. Everything was just TOO MUCH...especially the crying scenes....there was just wayyyyy to much of that. Oh and Jeong Geu Rin...I don't even know what to say...that character...was simply awful and downright annoying. The story itself is quite interesting but everything just felt very dragged out (maybe because of all the crying that took up almost half of some episodes?!) and despite Shin Suk Ho most of the characters seemed overdone and more like a charicature of a great idea(l) than an actually well played and well rounded character. The romance...well, I'm glad that's the only part where they did not overdo it but still, everthing that was there was really cringy and kind of held the story itself back instead of adding to it. I'm really glad that there was no clear cliché "happy ending" in the romance department because that is the only thing that made the last two episodes actually bearable and somehow even better than the rest of the show. All in all, I'm not sure if I would ever recommend this show to anyone. If you're a huge Ji Sung fan it might be worth it because his acting is really great in this drama...if not, then there are certainly better dramas about the entertainment industry with a less cringy story/acting...oh and music, too, because that wasn't all that great either...

i really enjoyed this drama
it was very delightful and cheerful made me laugh a lot and feeling optimistic with no reason

i loved the bromance and the team spirit in it so much

but there were two huge mistake for me in it

first there was a huge space and great floor for romance
the romance was too fade, lukewarm and very cold
even the reactions towards the romance situations wasn't natural at all

you have to guess always if there will be relation between them or not
it's kind of cold open romance situations

second
there were no need to be 18 ep.
it was more than enough and will be satisfying more if they stick to normal no. 16 because it comes draggy from ep 15
ep 15,16 nothing in them except they were crying the whole episode

...................................
so i don't know if they fix the romance or cut it and stick with bromance and team spirit only ..should be better??
but this was ridiculous because the romance in it was going to be great really if they made it in a correct way
