one of the things i love about this series is that it is not afraid to take TIME to show sincerity. this keeps the characters REAL. Wuxiang doesn't just flip out and try to cook a recipe - he studies for 2 days and then tries. He doesnt try just one recipe, he tries multiple. he doesnt pray at first... but then after days of failed recipes--- then he finally goes to pray. this is the actual way life unfolds. pushed along the edge of the Go board... dodging and resisting and being human at every turn.
