A step up from the first episode.

A step up from the first episode. At least it's actually laying down the plot and foundation for the show. So it will not only be about Bo Nui's superstition, but a common goal of software designing and gaming. I'll admit it's original. Don't forget that Gary Choi is a professional tennis player, and I will give the writers props for making it all come together. (Please, like Gary won't be one of the game idols?)

Overall it's a step in the write direction. I don't want to dump the show right now, but it still has a long way to come.

It's crazy I find Hwang Jung Eum totally stunning to look at. No really, when ever she has a quiet scene where she's not talking I'm enthralled. I'm literally thinking "Man she's a beautiful woman!" But there's something I find off putting about her character, Bo Nui. I'm glad that the tragic events and her belief that she is bad luck hasn't made her dark, scary, angry, and so on. But I think part of the disconnect is that I am not a superstitious person and believe fully that her shaman is tricking her. AND! I don't care for overly . . . scatter brained characters. Phones in the fridge is cute, vomiting everywhere, bodily fluids shared, crazy drunk moments, and way too much over the top stuff!

Maybe I'll click with her later, but for now the writing hasn't done much to develop her. Oh, I've got an idea.

The rest of the cast of main characters is stunning to look at! I really enjoy them. The acting isn't anything to phone home about, but it's not bad either.

I think what I'm really having trouble with is the writing. I love humor and fun, but I don't like a mess. Good writing is always a must, even if the drama is wacky. Which so far that is what Lucky romance is. I will be giving this series 4 episodes to impress me. I enjoy the cast of actors and I like the idea that the writer of the original comic is writing the show. (Though I never read them.)

Fighting!
