This episode had the most hilarious scenesxD…

This episode had the most hilarious scenesxD This drama is really good with the comedy but I am not sure that the plot line itself is very strong...I think it's going to become more serious as these episodes go on because Ah Dan Tae is undergoing some serious emotional turmoil and everyone else is being dragged down with him without him meaning to. Despite what ended up happening at the end of the episode, I liked that while yes he was pushing her away he tried to let her down gently because he is good at hiding his problems but it seems he is not so good that he can pursue a new relationship without telling her. He can't tell anyone his situation because is family can end up getting into a lot of danger and the father is already in a coma after attempting to come clean. He also is in the middle of a identity crisis because if revealed to be the lost grandson his life will change. Therefore I personally didnt feel that his isolation so far fetched and strange in comparison to other kdramas I have seen. He is trying to wait until the storm passes and he finds his kidnapper and even after that there is no guarentee that things will be better since his family did technically commit a crime and he will breakup the current family dynamic of his real family...he will be resented. I hope despite going a more serious road that the drama will continue to weave in some fun scenes because those are just magic :)

*smacks head*

*smacks head with inner groan of doom*

Yeah, they went there. One of my least favorite plot tropes is when the male lead pushes the female away to "protect her" as his circumstances have changed. Despite the fact that he does indeed love her. Not only that, but after all the build up of Gong Shim realizing her emotions! Dang it, the SUNFLOWER! Not to mention the cruelty of that fantasy. Because if the first part of the episode had been real and not a daydream it would have been totally perfect for these two! I mean--

Kill joy.

If a guy thinks he's in so much danger that he needs to protect the girl by either pushing her away and keeping her in the dark the real protection is telling her what's happening. Not to mention Dan Tae at this point needs to confide in someone, and I would think it would be the woman he loves.

This episode is undoing everything I have come to love about the show. It's either proving that 20 episodes is too long, or that only the first 10 episodes are every truly good. (I know so negative, but this episode was a huge let down for me.) I really loved Gong Shim's parents in this episode. Not to mention Gong Mi's creeping. She will bag and tag Joon Soo. Dan Tae has become a painful lead to watch with everyone that matters in this drama. In my book Joon Soo is the better man. He doesn't play around and he trust Gong Shim enough to tell her his secret.

We'll see. Maybe I'll feel guilty next episode for jumping ship so fast. But I hope the rejection doesn't kill Gong Shim's confidence. I want her to succeed from here on! She won on her won, so her success should be her own.
