Story goes to fast
It was a good movie, but the story just went too fast for the 1 hour and 10 minutes it had.I saw that there is a second part to it, i hope this will make the story more complete in it's whole.
The visuals were beautiful and the music good.
The actors did a great job and had great chemistry. I loved the "Lady and the tramp" moment.

Amazing BL fluck
Honestly.... I just came across this while looking for a good BL drama to watch..... I wish they could make it into a full blown series..... The script is average.... But the screenplay, music and direction is spot on.... Plus both the male leads are super effing hot..... And the chemistry between them is crackling..... As a movie it didn't work for me as the events unfolded too fast leaving me desiring for more...... I want a series...... But other than that it was a nice time pass..... The supporting actors are also nice and easy..... As a series they could add a few more cheesy lines.... It would be a great watch!

i kinda had high hopes going into this bl and its 2am so i was just looking for smth to watch. the first half of the movie when xiao and lu are young was pretty cute even though it moved really fast. but when theyre older and meet again, it sucks. the lack of consent AND THE FACT THAT LU LITERALLY TORTURED XIAO AND ALMOST KILLED HIM IS A MAJOR RED FLAG. even though at the end they explain themselves i still didnt like it. the chemistry was kinda off too, as a gay guy it didnt reallt feel real. idk :)) Was this review helpful to you?

Nothing new, nothing changed, same old, same old
Honestly while this BL film gets points for trying, I really can't say that it did much at all, if anything with it's plot. Basically your basic, two boys don't kiss each other type of melodrama with the main couple's parents. Only watched this because I was in the mood for something messy and toxic but didn't even receive that with the main couple besides some SA. And even that was played lightly and brushed off. Honestly really uneventful and something I've seen a million times before. Hopefully part two of this duology of films hits harder.Was this review helpful to you?
I really reccomend it, it made me understand the characters much better.
If you want to read it, I think you should read it from the start. Since A round trip to love was meant to be a tv series, things are pretty rushed and there are many things that have been cut, so you wouldn't understand things that happen after. (AAA there are many rape mentions in the novel, much more than in the movies.)
Also, the first time I watched it it didn't even have subtitles. For someone like me, who usually doesn't like watching movies, liking a movie without even understanding what is being said is something interesting. Even if I was like "what-did-he-say-WHY-IS-EVERYONE-GASPING-WHAT" the whole time, I still enjoyed it.
Not for everyone, but I def reccomend it.

Vim aqui por causa de um edit no youtube. Eu devo ter desacostumado com a dramatização chinesa porque achei a atuação estranha. O plot muito bobo, já vi milhares de novels com o mesmo cliche: cara rico bonito q fica obcecado pelo cara e os pais homofobicos. Os irmãos dos pp são os melhores ♡Sofrendo que nem sendo BL os chineses escapam da censura kkjkkknk
Nessa primeira parte não temos a parte mais pesada da relação tóxica mesmo tendo duas cenas que deixam desconfortáveis.
