Ru Yi visits Consort Hui in her final days, and she reveals the secret about the bracelet given to them by the Empress. Angry and feeling betrayed, she pleads for one final visit from the Emperor so she can tell him the truth that the Empress was behind all the scheming. Unbeknownst to the Emperor, Consort Hui purposefully contaminated his seat cushion with scabies, thinking he was behind the slow poisoning that weakened her body over time.
