A must watch drama
This drama have a very nice storyline, it has very intriguing plots and every twist never ceased to surprise me. Every second had me antcipating the second! I might prasising it a bit too much but this drama truly was amazing! The cast have done a very good job at portraying the events and the scenes. The investigation scenes in particular were very fun to watch. As someone interested in criminal psychology and forensics this drama kept me on the edge the whole time! It might not be realistic but as a drama audience it was good to watch. The music too is very melodious and pretty good. Overall you should definitely give it a try. 💍👮♀️❤️️👮♂️🧠💣👨🔬There's a spoiler after this so read at your own risk!
I felt like they should have extended their story of like falling in love for the first time to a bit longer. And I think it would be nice to see how they both react after they've regained their memories, I guess there is one scene about it but there isn't much. I feel like it ended a little abrubtly. Iwould have loved to see how they both react at the hospital after the ship incident at the end.

There are three seasons and all are linked to each other. The ending of the first season was not like an end to be so i will just give an overall view.I liked the female lead and her attitude. Both the ML & FL started to gall for each other very soon so i liked it. The way of revealing the villians one by one was pretty good. I would have loved the drama much more if Dr. Xu would have revealed himself sooner with some more obsessed scenes but still i loved the plot. There are a lot of romantic moments between the leads after the 1st season. In the first season they fell in love but were not expressing it. The 5 years past story is revealed in the last few episodes of the drama after the death of the villians. It ended with a hint that Dr. Xu is not dead and was just beside them drawing a portrait of Su Mian bt have a happy ending as no one was dead and all the couples were together...
I highly recommend this drama to those who loves to watch a romantic thiller...

An excellent story with perfect crime scene value
I rewatch this many times and it still doesn't feel boring because the crime scenes were unique with purpose and really dive into how criminal acts. The whole criminal group was perfect as it feels like the writer did not put it there just for the story but it feels like the criminal group has its purpose and is placed into the whole universe itself. I still have a little soft spot for A and T and quite sad that they had to..... "Spoiler" (once you watch it, you will know his fate).Even though I love the romance and I can see their chemistry despite the sudden romance plot in the present moment like since they have memory loss and Han Shen went back only to find out that Jin Xi is a completely different person, there is also no records on the sister. What happens if the person who died is Su Mian. The romance is based on that kiss and one main sentence. a little unrealistic but passable, I was hoping that they just fall in love despite having no finance thing. It feels more genuine. Other than that there is no denying that the romantic chemistry is super good because even with the memory loss when they were working together, you get to see them still falling in love with each other. also, lowkey sad for S. The love triangle is sad from his end since it is a 1 sided love.
Even though you are not watching it for the romance, the crime situation that the team have to investigate is really well executed by the production and is well explained. That is the best part of it. i shall not further explain else it will be a spoiler. But you will not regret watching it. The friendship between the members is also quite good as well. You can see their teamwork and the way they complement each other skills and every character is there for a purpose!
You may feel confused at first but not to worry as the backstory of what happened 5 years ago will be explained in season 3 in the last few episodes.

Amazing chemistry between leads
It is a joy to watch leads interact with each other no matter what they are doing.Watched all three seasons, season 1 and season 3 are comparatively better than the 2nd season. 2nd season was a bit boring for me.
The story would have been much more riveting had the flashback scenes played out simultaneously, because those scenes were really interesting compared to the whole criminal syndicate story.
All the characters are pretty great, it is the story that doesn't do justice to them. But it is certainly better written and quite memorable compared to lot of others dramas out there.
If you are into both crime and romance it might be your cup of tea. I just couldn't get into the crime part of this story.

Prep season that makes you want to encounter the next...
NOTE: I put this notice after watching the whole drama. I have a review for each season that I gave after watching one at a time. You can read them all in one go or you can read it according to how you watch the drama. my third review sums everything up so if you're the curious type, you might as well just read all of it in one go.I just finished the first season and its was pretty good.
STORY: so this is more like a prep season, we are introduced to the characters and the base of a big secret that is yet to unfold. we also see a lot of chemistry between the leads, despite the fact that they have lost their memories of each other.
Acting/Actors: I noticed a lot of people had problems with the female leads character and style. the only thing that bothered me was her heels. her character is one that is supposed to be strict and empowering, but also has a cute side. she's also a tease so taking her words seriously is just a waste of time. the male lead is good too, he came out as narcissistic and a douche bag at first but we see his sweet side later on.
there isn't much romance in this season, but the action and chemistry makes me want to know what happens next.
anyways, see ya'll in season two...

Season one is the strongest of the three seasons. The premise is mysterious, and Bai Jin Xi and Han Chen initially have an entertaining rivalry and it's clear from the start that there's chemistry between the two of them. Xiao Zhuan, Leng Mian, and Lao Dao are fun, likable supporting characters that offer a lot of humor to a show that centers around some very dark and disturbing crimes.
It's towards the end of season one that the show began to lose my interest with its increasingly convoluted, baffling plot. I just felt like this show asked for too much suspension of disbelief. (And Han Chen's lines made me roll my eyes.) I do know this is a Ding Mo novel adaptation, and I did like both Love Me If You Dare and When a Snail Falls in Love - I recommend both of those instead of Memory Lost.

Totally boring
Theme of the story was very good but execution was poor. Not show the reason that why they were lost their memory . May show in other two season. All the time the leads solve the mystery of crime and that mystery was not so interesting. The lead actress acting was too much . With this the background music which was played when both the lead come across to each other was not good . I hope other seasons will be better than this. Intention to watch other seasons only to know the truth of their loss memories.

Interesting premise, mostly good execution
(Note: This review is for the entire series of 36 episodes, not just the first season listed under this title.) I watched this primarily because I had seen a clip of Bai Yu doing some impressive stunts, and I enjoy watching his work. This series gives him many opportunities to lean into the physicality of the role, which is nice, but his character is given a little less to work with in terms of emotional range here than in some of his other titles, for whatever that's worth.Story: The premise is admittedly intriguing: Two police officers with partial amnesia (and opposing philosophies of investigation) are assigned to work together in a special crimes unit. They initially clash, but as cases hint at their hidden pasts, they realize they are both missing memories from the exact same period of time. The drama starts as a fairly solid police procedural, with each case spanning several episodes, and develops into a continuing mystery as it goes. There are few surprises here: Unless you're asleep or have never watched a TV series before, you will know the series endgame from early on because... let's face it, it's not terribly original. Every time a character was introduced, I pegged their role in the story (minor role, cannon fodder, recurring supporting character, enemy mid-boss, ultimate boss, etc.) from their very first appearance with nearly 100% accuracy. It's very by-the-numbers. That's not to say it's bad; it's just more of a procedural-plus-romance than a gripping, suspenseful thriller that keeps you guessing the whole way through. The main plot is fairly predictable, and some of the villains are... uh... ridiculously extra, but as long as you can willfully suspend disbelief as needed, it's decent. The ending feels a little abrupt and could have used a longer denouement, but does tie off most of the major threads.
Characters: As much as I love Bai Yu as an actor, I had a hard time liking Han Chen, because he's kind of an overbearing jerk. Yes, a lot of male love interests start off that way (for reasons that baffle me, as I find it the opposite of attractive), but most of them recover from it; Han Chen, despite occasional moments of softness, remains pretty bossy throughout the whole series. Bai Jinxi, who starts as an empowered woman who can hold her own in clashes with Han Chen, gets somewhat nerfed as the series progresses. She bends more frequently to Han Chen's will and ends up getting damseled several times so he can dash in and save her (though in fairness, other characters also need rescuing from time to time, so it's not just her). The supporting cast is fun, though some of their side stories feel a little forced. Maddeningly, characters at times behave in very stupid ways in order to put themselves in life-threatening peril for the sake of narrative tension: At one point, two named characters decide there is no escape and have an extended conversation that boils down to, "welp, guess we'll die now, what a shame, glad we had a good run" when they could literally just walk out of the danger zone and join the civilians they've already moved to a safer area with absolutely zero negative consequence.
Production values: Most of the series looks great, though later episodes suffer at times from stock footage, mediocre CG, and frankly ridiculous "hacking" sequences. There is some absolute NONSENSE with a runaway train, and more with a... cruise ship? ferry? large boat? that changes vessel class and deck structure depending on which stock photo/drone shot/CGI model they stuck in the background. All in all, though, it's photographed well, if the sets are a little too slick and high-tech to be a believable police headquarters. Everyone in this district must be *loaded* with cash.
Content warnings: Moderately graphic violence, including gunshot wounds, head trauma, autopsies, and onscreen suicides. Several cases revolve around sexual assault. Some brief scenes of child abuse.

Good dectective drama.
Ive watched all three seasons of this drama, a total of 36 episodes. I loved this show and the acting. The chemistry between the leads was perfect and they were an adorable couple. The crimes in this drama were pretty well thought out too id have to say. The downside.. hmm i guess towards the end it got annoying bc i watched the last few eps very quickly by skipping as they were going through past.. they couldve wrapped it up quicker id say. But overall a great drama with crime, mystery and best of all romance. Would recommend to ppl who like this genre, its on IQIYI (vip). Was this review helpful to you?
Plot holes due to memory loss
I watched the entire drama of 36 episodes in 1 1/2 weeks. The actors were interesting and good looking. The setting, Lan City, is a perfect, beautiful, clean, spacious city, and the police station is high end. This is a review of the entire drama; Seasons 1, 2 and 3.Story:
The story begins in the current time, with some mysterious reference to five years prior. As the drama moves forward, we learn that the main characters have wide gaps in their memories of five years prior. No surprise! A number of Alphabet Villains are introduced strategically with every new crime in Lan City, and it is obvious that they were involved with those lost memories.
As the drama reaches the last stretch, the scriptwriter takes a flashback (aka time jump backward) to five years prior, to explain the Alphabet Villains’ megalomaniacal master plan. This is spread over five or six episodes needlessly, when we just want to see the conclusion of the drama.
Acting:
The casting is very good. Bai Yu is exceptional as Han Chen, who is a knight in shining armor. Yong Rang is not exceptional as Bai Jin Xi/Su Mian. The character is obnoxious and egocentric, and chatty. She also hits her subordinate throughout the drama, which is a form of violence in the workplace. She stops being obnoxious, but is still egocentric and chatty. The three supporting actors who play the young and handsome supporting Black Shield detectives, are very efficient. The teamwork of the Black Shield members and their supervisor is exceptional.
The supporting actors who play the young and handsome Alphabet Villains are efficient. The teamwork of the villains falls apart. The old adage, “ Too many cooks spoil the broth." comes to mind.
Music:
A very good O.S.T.!
Rewatch value:
Should I forget that I watched the drama, I might end up watching it again (...Lost memory! Muahahahaha!).
Overall:
The drama is praiseworthy. The production values are high, and all the actors deliver very good performances. The plot is clever, but the script is confusing at times, as it randomly jumps backward in time, and the villains keep popping up at the oddest times. The script would have been solid if the drama had started out the gate with the villains hatching their diabolical master plan, the main leads losing their memories, and the time jump to five years later, when the drama originally began.
