Moreover, the actors are not that good, except for Im Joo Hwan who did a really great job with his character! I'm so disappointed with Nam Joo Hyuk, I don't think he was a great choice for this character, I think he was chosen just because he is handsome... The main characters are not well-suited, there's almost no vibes between them. And even though I din't like Shin Se Kyung at the beginning, I think she did a good job overall, especially in the last couple of episodes.
Anyway, it's not all bad! The music is amazing!!! I really loved it! And the "power" scenes (don't know how to call them lol) are really well-done!
Finally, I won't rewatch it because I don't want to rewatch a drama just for the music or because I loved some scenes :p

I adore NJH & Gong Myung. Thought Crystal couldn't act but she surprised me here. But SSK doesn't work in this drama. You can tell they casted people on name a lone and didn't bother to do chemistry reads.
This is a perfect of example of having great base work (the manhwa) and when you misdirect and miscast something. This really had potential to be great. Especially from the snippets we got before the show started. Stunning cinematography (aside from their powers) but this drama 10 episodes doesn't seem to be mounting up to much about anything. But leads have no chemistry at all and acting seems dry and very stiff.
Worth carrying on? Not for me. Checking out of the drama. Good luck!

Story: 1/10
The biggest problem that this drama had was the script and story line. As I watched the drama I felt like I was being insulted. The writers gave so little thought to the viewing audience in terms of background and reasoning. Once I completed the drama and looked back on what I had just watched, two scenarios filled my mind. One, the writers gathered in a room, wrote down a bunch of ideas and randomly pulled them out of a hat each episode. Or two, they had so much that they wanted to fit into the drama that they didn't have enough time to delve deep into the situations and instead, caused total chaos and confusion.
Acting/Cast: 8/10
A lot of people had a problem with Shin Se Kyung's acting. After seeing her in many dramas, I realized that she is an actress that doesn't have a wide range of facial expressions. Her happy face, sad face, confused face, or even her angry face, look pretty much the same. This was even more obvious when working alongside actors/actresses who use their faces actively while acting. I think that she is an okay actress, but this role just wasn't the right fit for her. And the chemistry between the two leads was just horrible. There was no sparks and it became painful to watch. I was eager for their scenes to end and watch the side characters instead. The other actors/actresses did a phenomenal job. They played their roles well; however, no matter how great a job they do, if the script is garbage then there is no salvation for the drama.
Music: 9/10
Now the music on the other hand was amazing.Overall they felt almost mystical-like and were very easy on the ears. The singer's voices fit each song well and they worked perfectly in the moments they were played. My favorite OST was Glass Bridge By Savina & Drones (???????).
Rewatch Value: 1/10
I will never watch this drama again. I got through it once because of the actors and music but the drama is too infuriating to watch it again. Instead, I'll just watch other works with them in it.
Overall: 5/10
The tragedy of this drama is the wasted talent of the actors/actresses and beautiful OST set. It had a lot of promise but the haphazard job done by the script writers and the casting of the main female lead ruined the whole drama. I always say that you should try it to see how you feel about it but this time I will say that with a warning; be prepared for confusion and constant wondering if you missed something in the previous scenes.

All the potential for a great drama is there, but it still fails
I started watching this series not having high expectations, since I'd already read a lot of bad reviews. Still I thought I could get through it to see for myself if it actually is that bad, very naively so. I have to say that it was one of the very few times that I struggled so hard to watch a drama 'till the end and many times I wanted to relieve myself and give up halfway.I have so many critiques for this drama that I could probably stay up all night still ranting about it. My main problem, however, with it is that it started off with all the potential to be a great show: a very interesting plot, a grand budget, a great cast with amazing skills and visuals and the list goes on. So how did it manage to fail? The scenario was just plain bad.
The story doesn't flow naturally at all, from the very beginning until the very end. The main plot feels like it just kind of lands there, much like Ha Baek himself, and then wanders around with no true purpose. The main romance, which I thought could be one of the saving virtues of the drama, started off noone-actually-knows how, so of course if it doesn't have strong foundations it can never be believable. As the episodes pass, the story gets even more confusing and the subplots feel like they're patched together in a very obvious and rough manner. Also, I found it very hard to bring myself to like most of the characters. The gods and goddesses that are supposed to be virtuous beings of higher intellect seem completely immature and sometimes fail to understand the simplest of notions. The main female lead is always making wrong choices and also acts like she's a child sometimes. I couldn't help myself from thinking that her being a psychiatrist apparently is doing more harm than good to anyone, as well. So many characters felt completely unnecessary, especially secretary Min and Ja Ya and even the more "important" ones for the plot like Namsuri or Jin Geon. The only actually complex role with a tragic backstory that was facing real problems and even at some points had the potential of becoming a villain was CEO Shin and he is actually the only character I managed to like and also thought he deserved so much better.
All in all my experience with watching this drama was not enjoyable. I would have given an even smaller rating number, but didn't for the sake of the production, which is actually really good, the acting and the character of Shin Hoo Ye.

A beautiful surprise!
Almost passed off this kdrama because of the unfair reviews and cheezy 1st episode! Both main leads and the short 16 episodes kept me watching and it became an addictive love story that I had to finish within 2 waking days! A simple modern day love story, complicated when it happens between a human and a Water God who's destined to be King in the Divine realm. The sweet chemistry of the pretty FL and the handsome ML with sprinkles of quirkiness, fun & tissue moments made this enduring, romantic fantasy story almost believable and entertaining. A refreshing story without the all to popular revenge and idiotic gibberish. After watching 3 long historical dramas this was a delightful eyewash! Was this review helpful to you?
In my opinion, this drama isn't even worth a try which is such a pity. Just giving an honest review and saving some from wasting their valuable time on this.

Never A Dull Moment
I watched this drama in 3 days. I get bored easily and will hit fast forward but not with this story. All of the actors were perfectly cast for this drama. The story had a good pace. There was a lot of chemistry between the two main actors and some great kissing scenes. My only complaint is that the ending was a little weak. I’m not happy with a lot of endings though. I highly recommend this drama. The main character is played by Nam Joo -Hyuk and he made me forget his character in Start Up because he’s a good actor and he’s also super handsome. The leading woman’s role was played by Shin Se-Kyung from Run On. I liked her in both dramas but feel she did a better job in this one. All together enjoyable 😊Was this review helpful to you?
.
Do watch the first and second episode if u like them I'm pretty sure u will like the rest of the series.
.
Actors: I personally liked all the casts of the show , specially gong myung and shin se. The complete cast is totally eye candy.
Story: I have seen a lot of negative comments about the story line but I actually liked it,though u won't get to see lot of romance. there ain't't any strong antagonist in the story, so u won't get to see the fight and ol btw protagonist and the antagonist.

The start was very promising and each episode ended with a nice cliffhanger that encouraged me to watch the following episode. However the mystery was quickly revealed without much development and replaced with another mystery in every episode. I hoped it would all come together in the end but my expectations were met with disappointment. I detested Shin Se Kyoung's acting as it didn't bring out much of Yoon So Ah's supposed strong personality. She was supposed to be rational, strong and open-minded psychiatrist but turned out more like a whiny kindergartener. I understand her attitude to the kids her dad brought home when she was small, but she was very mean to her junior at work until the very end. I didn't like Yoon So Ah's character either. Ha Baek was much better in my opinion but still not all that likeable. I liked how in the end it turned out that So Ah's dad was the one who saved her. It was a huge surprise to me as I had crossed my fingers totally expecting So Ah to have been saved by Ha Baek in the typical k drama fashion of lovers meeting or saving each other in the past. Since I hate less than perfect endings, I was disappointed with Ha Baek staying with So ah only until her death. I felt that this is not all that better than Nak Bin. Ha Baek would watch So Ah grow old and die only to be devastated. I felt that since So Ah was able to make a wish, if she was smart, she could have said that she wanted to be with him forever and they would have had to go to the world of the Gods together and since they wished to be together, Ha Baek couldn't die even if he never went back. I hate it when there is a bittersweet ending when they could have clearly easily had a much better ending. This bittersweet ending was clearly not the only choice they had. I liked the OSTs and visuals of this k drama. i think some people who like sad, sentimental and emotional dramas will like this. Was this review helpful to you?

unique, emotional and loveable!!!...bad reviews are prejudice
its a real good story...ending is fabulous....chemistry is a bit on and off but acting is good...the cast is beautiful......this story made me laugh, cry and above all feel what actual love is.its a real case of a gold covered up by mud just because of bad reviews.the story plot is very unique...its not like any other dramas having a lover and perusing his love. its so different that if one sees it till the ending , the person will be mesmerized..i can guarantee that.its very very very beautiful story.the male lead has played both the roles, the roles of a god and a cute normal human very well. Was this review helpful to you?
The story is SUPPPPPEEEERRR non-sense.
The deities are just a bunch of pretty BRATS--arrogant, greedy, super-duper conceited and selfish.
Even the reason why they're in the human world is vain and rubbish.
Srsly, in this drama, they always say that humans are foolish and greedy,
I just hope that they are different from how they describe humans because they are worst.
This drama shows the difference between a human with supernatural power and those who do not have.
The talents of the actors were wasted in this drama.
Don't waste your time watching this drama.
