Could've Been Great
If I watched this before "She Was Pretty", I think I would have given this a higher rating. This is like watching the original k-drama but at a third of the speed. I understand how remakes work, but they had so much potential to do more with 40 episodes. I was hoping they would add more to fill in for the massive time difference, but they just chose not to. If anything, the slow nature of the drama made plot holes more obvious. It just felt slow which is disappointing because the acting was pretty good.Was this review helpful to you?

Oh my😳,why oh why did i bother😪She was pretty was sooooooo much better just want to see the difference ,but id be damed of im sitting through 40 episodes of this poop,nah no nader cant do it.
In my opinion the drama was a waste of money,the main characters were just wrong however i do think the male lead was better then the female lead who i thought was just plain out and out dumb goofy and irritating 😒,and why did she keep suckung in her bottom lip to push her teeth out ,wth was that about ,freckles were none existant .......why bother.
The male lead wasnt to bad felt he got way into his character so much he forgot to add some of himself so it kinda made him abit uptight.
Second lead male just plain got on my nerves throughout couldnt even feel sorry for him at all,couldnt stand the so call best friend,she clearly only thought of herself the whole time,which was frustrating.
People at the magazine didnt really mind except the gold digger know she was just a character but still made me cringe,loved the editor thought she was hilarious 😂 ,most definitely would not watch this drama, it just puts a downer on the original,but hey thats just my opinion.

4 Just for the 2ML
Things I loved1 The 2ML. Fortunately for us he went on to do some great dramas. he was a scene stealer and just like with the Korean version his character was much more sympathetic than the ML and I rarely say that if ever. He was the only good thing of the show.
Things I liked
1 The premise. I've already seen the Korean one so I knew what to expect and I like the premise so much I didn't care if it was a remake.
Things I disliked
1 The FL. I don't know what others see in this actress. I tried again and again to like her in some of her dramas and failed miserable. This was the less cringe although very cringe due to her character. This was the last one I try where she acts. It doesn't worth my time. The FL in the Korean version did a fabulous job and I wanted her to succeed so much. Here I didn't care.
Things I hated
1 The ML acting. He was wrong for the role and I agree with others that the 2ML should be the lead. What do cast directors think sometimes? Was it that complicated to see the actor was wrong for the role? Playing the cold, aloof CEO doesn't mean you play it without any expression. Awful.
2 The story about the friend and her crush. I hated that in the Korean version as well. Hated it.

Awfully mumbeled speach.
I could not watch this drama.Came for beautiful Reba.
Left running head over heels. I seldom have been put off by what a film team had done to an actor that much.
Reba sounds as if she had a wet cloth in her mouth. Her usually pretty distinct way of articulating becomes unaudible and dull.
This is to represent the downfall of a former rich family and the effect it is supposed to have on Li Hui Zhens character.
But sorry... that's a huge bunch of nonsense.
Dropped the drama. I am very very disappointed of that show.
Rewatch value is 0 for me.

Super agréable et feel-good
Version chinoise de "she was preety", mais bien mieux.Durant 40 épisodes, les personnages sont bien développés, super bien joués, y compris les personnages secondaires.
Très belle romance entre 2 amis d'enfance, séparés depuis 12 ans. La fille n'est plus aussi jolie et l'homme la confond avec sa meilleure amie. Il crée des malentendus et des situations ambiguës comme d'habitude, mais il est bien amené et crédible.
L'amitié et l'amour non sollicité sont décrits avec subtilité.
Un drame super agréable et qui fait du bien. De plus plus de 2 acteurs principaux très séduisants !
