A'Chu is summoned to the palace by the Emperor, where Wen Huai tries to arrest her for crimes he planted against her. Wen Yue protects A Chu and promises to give her the slave document if she spends a day at his manor. She goes to his manor and he clarifies the death of her brother, but she is no longer interested to hear him. Yue Qi tells her that Wen Yue used needles to fake her death, but assassins had prevented him from saving her as she was already gone when they arrived.
