It's a visual treat for the eyes. It brings you to the edge of your seat. The story is interesting and makes you want to learn more about it. Every actor did an outstanding job portraying their respective characters. Matt Damon is a fantastic actor. I never found him boring in any of his roles throughout his career. Pedro Pascal was also fantastic as Tovar. Overall, the film is fantastic and worth seeing again. idk what else u write i can understand people who didnt really like it tho/It's a visual treat for the eyes. Definitely a movie
What can I say, this is a big-budget action movie, not really anything special but not horrible. I actually find it an enjoyable movie for a mindless rewatch. The plot is basic but acceptable, the premise is just interesting enough to make sense, and the armor is all color coded to make the CGI fest a bit less eye-bleeding. Don't love it, don't hate it. Obviously parts of the movie are nonsensical and riddled with plot holes— this is a shock and awe action flick, the point of it is to be flashy and dramatic, not for it to make sense. Sometimes the laws of the universe and logic bend to the cool factor. All in all, the movie does have emotional beats that follow through well enough, but don't come here looking for any depth of narrative.Also, I love Matt Damon, I do, but I'm not sure if he was quite the right fit for this role.

Le Grand Foirage
Bon sang que ce film est mauvais. Je me rappelle à l'époque de sa sortie que ça faisait polémique car forcément c'est des acteurs blancs en plein milieu de la Chine d'époque. Bon ils essayent de justifier dans le scénario, perso je me fiche un peu de l'origine des acteurs car c'est pas ça le problème du film.Déjà moi quand je pensais à la Grande Muraille, bah je m'attendais à voir un ancien conflit en Chine... genre qu'ils affrontent des Mongols, bah non à la place on te met juste des monstres moches en 3D. En plus je pense vraiment qu'ils ont juste pris un truc au hasard dans les mythes chinois tellement ils ressemblent à rien.
Au niveau de l'histoire c'est typique film d'action nul, t'as les moments stylés, les moments de conflits entre les personnages (ici Matt Damon et Pedro Pascal), la relation amoureuse à chier qui sort de nulle part, t'en as juste rien à foutre des personnages, d'autant plus que le film en fait mourir plein, toi tu t'en fous car rien ne te fait attacher à eux, ils ne dégagent RIEN. Sans compter le truc de la poudre qui est censé être un élément important mais t'en as rien à faire non plus.
Au niveau de l'acting, pas grand chose à dire même si au début du film Dafoe (oui LE Willem Dafoe) a l'air lui-même complètement perdu, ne sachant pas quoi faire dans ce film.
Et enfin mon plus gros problème... dieu que c'est LAID. C'est très simple, sur la Grande Muraille (LA majeure partie du film) y a aucun droit au couleur. TOUT est gris. Ajoutez à cela une action généralement molle, qui essaye de faire des ralentis stylés qui ne fonctionnent pas du tout. En dehors de quelques passages dans le désert, c'est juste immonde.
Si à la limite c'était un film con mais agréable à voir j'aurais été positif, là c'est débile et moche, donc je peux pas être positif. C'est pas en mettant des acteurs stars (et encore, je crois que c'était le début de la notoriété pour Pascal) que ton film devient bien par magie. Rien à garder, tout à jeter
