I hated this series!!! I think the only thing that saved this was MaxTul and even that... didn't have much happiness. They were always fighting and arguing. I think the series wasn't realistic at all. In the last episode the girl grabbed the guy by the neck and she catched the knife. The story didn't make any sense and the acting wasn't that good. If you liked Together With Me, then don't watch this series because it's going to ruin the all thing. Overall, this series wasn't good, telling the truth, it was the worst series that I've ever watched. I'm really sorry if you liked this series. Was this review helpful to you?
Not comparable with parent show "T.W.M" but still worth a watch
OK... So, where do I begin????It's going to be one of those "It's So Bad, It's Good" reviews. It's ludicrous! Totally crazy all over the place, very dramatic with plot holes galore & yet it still holds a certain comedic value (just not always intentionally so).
I watched it all, without skipping scenes. There's no rewatch value but I think its still worthy of a score of 4.5⭐ for a fun & entertaining one time watch.
However, if you're expecting it to be anything like "Together With Me" you will extremely disappointed.
The only characters "Bad Romance" carries over from its parent series are the characters Knock & Korn & Yihwa & the relationships between them are continued. These are the only origional characters/cast from "Together With Me" other than these 3, it's an all new cast/characters & story/plot.
I think the production team must have had trouble choosing a plot & decided to just roll with every plot on team brainstorming board! There's certainly a mish-mash of story/plot & themes going on here, ranging from romance, relationships & relationship problems.. to.. murder plots, detective mystery "whodunit's"... Oh & lets not forget the confusion & misunderstandings around sexual orientation, mentally unstable jealous ex's/friends & Bl shipping & fan-girling etc.
Basically, I'm hard pushed to find a plot/theme they hadn't managed to squeeze into the story.
So, if you don't mind that it's not on the same level as "T.W.M" or that it has a ludicrous mish-mash of plots and you're willing to watch purely for the extreme dramatics, comedic value and you don't take it too seriously, then it's worth a watch.
MY SCORE: 4.5⭐

A very very BAD ROMANCE: One of the worst drama I've watched
I'm more than disappointed, I'm furious to have wasted my time ... I loved Korn and Knock in Together with me and Next Chapter. Max and Tul are extremely handsome and good actors. Their love story was nice and quite moving and suddenly here Knock became a stupid asshole, making Korn's life miserable. For nothing. Capriciously. His stupidest adventure was his ambiguous friendship with pathetically flamboyant and clownish Chinook, helping him selling a cream online to "save is dying mother... Everybody understood in 3 minutes that Chinook either wanted to sleep with Knock or his family melodrama was fake. Everybody ... but Knoll. It took three episodes for him to understand ...This sort of secondary story was totally useless. Korn's passivity, letting Knock acting stupidly without saying anything, was also unbelievable within a couple. It's like the authors of this drama added these silly things to reach the 13 episodes format ... They were surrounded by stupid, screaming, gossipy girls and even Cho, who was a sympathetic character became a mediocre guy. Glad it's over.why do we have to give a minimum grade of 1 for rewatch value. My review is very negative. A zero would be more appropriate.

not that great
Well, as a BL fan and a fan of the Together friends group, I dare say that I was quite disappointed with Bad romance ... Why? Because normally, Yihwa is a very good character, very creative and psychologist and in this series, she forgets to be really herself. She misunderstood Knock's false friend relationship, she believes Cho is gay, it's not Yihwa! Cho's character was ok, their relationship is so empty in _Together (...) following the chapter_ so it's my mistake to expect something better, I guess. It's a shame that the script no longer uses the diversity of these two actors and characters. For the Knock-Korn couple, I still love him but it's a shame that Knock remains so stupid. These two still do not know how to speak frankly, they have made the same mistake before and have learned nothing about it. And the investigation with Beauty, Tan and Mydear is just delusional and boring. So, in conclusion, I like the team but the script is not creative, not new, not surprising, no great dialogues like before. Was this review helpful to you?
Not memorable, not moving, just filler!
If you’re thinking about watching Bad Romance, save yourself the time, unless you’re truly bored out of your mind and in the mood for something painfully shallow. I didn’t even know this series existed until after I watched Together With Me, and honestly, I wish it had stayed that way.The characters are nothing like their Together With Me versions, which makes the viewing experience even more frustrating. The writing is weak, the pacing drags, and you can clearly tell the cast was still very new to acting. The performances never quite land, and the music is just… there. Not memorable, not moving, just filler.
Overall, Bad Romance feels like a rough draft of what Together With Me eventually became. If you’re expecting the same chemistry, depth, or emotional pull, you won’t find it here.

Things don't make sense
Well I've understand they made BAD ROMANCE before TOGETHER WITH ME they missed out a few details. What TOGETHER WITH ME portrayed they fight so hard for the relationship just to only be apart in BAD ROMANCE and too much story's going on i see knock and korn 80 % less in the series, and they have a main role in bad romance like where are they like for an hour and 17 minutes i only encounter they twice.
What they missed out in TOGETHER WITH ME
korn didn't know about the reaction knock has with shrimp in BAD ROMANCE he finds out during lunch when he was feeling knock..
yihwa wasent quite sure about knock and korn relationship. Until korn asked her to spy she at that moment she was sure then they were talking.
Cho meets Yihwa at the one year of knock and korn not at the gathering at the club in TOGETHER WITH ME .
i think clo should have being the one to replace yihwa in TOGETHER WITH ME for he was sure that korn was gay but she wasn't sure
Bad romance aint that bad but the missed a few details that was forgotten in TOGETHER WITH ME..

I disagree with a lot of the things that were being tweeted, or asked in the first few episodes regarding sexuality, gender, etc. but I do understand that there's a big cultural barrier, and the perception of MOGII in Thailand is very different to that of a first world country like the one that I live in. I think if you're prepared to overlook that sort of thing, then this is a great show to watch!
Also, as I'm sure many people will likely watch it for the BL element- the leading straight couple are actually really great as well!!

love the male lead. that's it tho.
there was a lot of miscommunication along of strange thinks. Korn and knock where toxic most the time, they changed things also the one episode there was a flash back where knock told Korn he was energetic to shrimp but they where childhood friends so Korn already know so what's with that? yiawa is really smart yet her smarts where blocked in this series. also the translator couldn't translate 20% of the words which I tolerated till ep9 where an entire conversation between knock and some random ass guy was missing with 0 translation. I skipped to the last episode. they also ended it so badly. this series i had high hopes for after watching the first show. there is a 3rd idk if I can watch it rn I am not impressed. watched 1-8 properly ep 9 was 2x speed with ffw then skipped all ep13.Was this review helpful to you?
Bad is in the title
Bad Romance is basically 10 episodes of filler and not much consequence, and then we got the last 3 episodes with actual story development. I’m still surprised by how this show managed to get a prequel. It’s not like Korn and Knock worked well in this show. The biggest issue is that we can see from Together With Me that the actors are good and the characters have potential, the material they’re given is what’s Bad. The secondary plots on this show make no sense, specially the central one in the end, which brings everybody together. With all that being said, I have to admit that I like the giant bear scene.

Back up Candy
I came for Yihaw. I loved her character in the other series. She was strong, independent, and deeply loyal. The chemistry of the main two couples was great. I can say I honestly always disliked Knock as a character. He is childish and petty, but he makes some good points. He loved the man and wanted to express his love. Nothing wrong with that, but not calling your partner before you go on an all-night-er with a friend and having them worried sick about you is wrong, and playing way too many mind games is wrong. I truly love Cho and Yihaw's relationship. Yihaw annoyed me a bit, yes. Auto assuming Cho was gay and escalating the conflict between Knock and Korn bugged me. Also, the Bi man equals man hoe out for anyone comment was upsetting. But she was a great friend. The end was the worst and best. I was honestly super bored with the relationship drama by ep 8 the tacky overly dramatic villain shook things up. This series is like okay candy you settled on because they were out of Skittles. Not what you wanted or winning any awards, but it's okay. Was this review helpful to you?

Cut off the 80% ballast, add more kiss scenes and it's great!
I have watched the prequel and sequel (both having the advantage they KNEW ALREADY what to explore), I still need to stick with Bad Romance. It has that something that makes me interested in the same sex relationship, so despite it being juvenile in compare to 'Together With Me', avoiding proper kiss scenes, and filling the screentime with endless antics of side characters you don't care rat's ass about, THIS has something.
What proves it the most are the "fictional interviews" with the CHARACTERS, not actors, that run after the end credits (LOVE the title song, by the way) that say it all.
So, though this material needed to be perfected in 'Together With Me' (still, the material WAS there else there would be nothing to prequel/sequel), you can glimpse that, in a way, it was already perfect here. It's just hard to see it. I know;)
