Comment 1 : You don't drink wine to get drunk and, above all, you don't mix white and red wine together. If you do, most French will hate you. That's why the bartender looked shocked when he saw this. Comment 2 : You'll easily find people who speak english in big cities and touristic cities. But other than that might be difficult. Most French are bad at foreign languages, though it tends to get better with younger generations.
