This work is a “misaligned, heart-fluttering romantic comedy” centered on Amami Haru, an eccentric and handsome young man whose only best friend is an AI, and Karashima Naho, a work-driven woman employed at a game company.

Both series involve traditional Japanese crafts, Kyoto Love Story with dessert and Mare with lacquerware, though it is more of a side story. The ML in Mare is also into dessert but more Western dessert, unlike the one is KLS. Both series tackle the hardships and passion they have for their respected crafts and both series involve the main couples becoming the successors of their traditional shops.
Hase Taiga who has been working part-time at the small restaurant "Tanomi" for three years, was once a promising young man as the ace of the university's relay team, but his past was ruined by poor performance.
