Once Upon a Time... in My Heart

Just finished watching this and I cant believe it's already over. The ship is real, the main lead is so adorable daniel (AKA Mik ) I love him he's so handsome. I loved the story I didn't skip a single episode. I would recommend watching. If i were to summarize the story I would say it all began with a misunderstanding (which frustrated me) but it's worth it. Seeing everything unfold and the misunderstandings are finally clear. I would have to say though Puifai and Chen Biao I shipped them so much too lol. Also loved the friendship between Daniel and Chen Biao. I personally loved it 100/100:) Glad this was picked up and I got to watch it. Still sad it ended but won't forget this one.

Based on all the good recommendations I really tried to make it through this drama. I got through episode seven and I just couldn’t take it anymore. I have seen the last severed limb that I wan to see. That’s on top of the other hand that was cut off, a guy being burned alive, two men being hanged, a man being buried alive, a woman being shot and then drowned, and this is just to name a few of the violent acts that were shown. And I mean they were really shown with blood and gore, nothing spared. I expected some gangster in my love story, but this was more of a mob story than a love story. The love story itself was not done well at all. I say skip this one unless you like mob stories.

I just finished watching this and OMG! This lakorn is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!
and it makes me want to have a mafia lover! . Kodus to the actors
and actresses who portrayed their role perfectly especially to the actors who
are in the mafia family ( I just want you guys to know that the actors are so
HANDSOME !! and im not lying about it!! ) they are so COOL in holding the
guns and when they fight and I just cant help but to fall in love with them! .
And also I love the ootds in this drama ( if someone here is like an
ootd girl then you must check this drama coz they have so cool ootds! .
I love what the drama wants to tell us or what the lesson that it brings to us.!
I highly recommend u guys to watch this!

Super cast but wasted by a really rotten script !

I watched this lakorn for the ML=MIK -super hot :) and the great comments.

The 1st episodes are bearable even if you can see that the action scenes are not of Hollywood level. They make it up with a lot of gun shootings from all sides ;)
I hung on based on the good reviews, and hoping the quality of the show would improve.

BUT I cracked around the 10th episode and started skipping.
Why ??
I'm a little used to lakorns and I manage to bear the super melodramatic side of some series, but I've never seen such a rotten scenario. The story and the characters are badly written... The production is super slow at times.

Examples:
- The FL is a walking cliche: the nice and super innocent girl, who preaches GOOD to mafia gangs, while a deadly shooting is happening ??? Seriously ?
- The mobsters (except the bad guys who are dead) will all find redemption?
- The ML who tries to give up on his love for the benefit of his ex-best friend?

In short, for me this drama is a beautiful mess. With actors of this level, they could have made a great drama...
As you will understand, I will not watch it again (even with a lockdown of several months :)

J'ai regardé ce lakorn pour le ML = Mike -super hot :) et les bons commentaires.

Les 1ers épisodes sont supportables même si on voit bien que les scènes d'action ne sont pas du niveau Hollywood. Ils se rattrapent en canardant de tous les côtés ;)
Je me suis accrochée en me basant sur les bons commentaires, et en espérant que la qualité de la série allait devenir meilleure.

MAIS j'ai craqué vers le 10eme épisode et commencé à zapper.
Pourquoi ??
J'ai un peu l'habitude des lakorns et je supporte le côté super mélo de certaines séries, mais je n'ai jamais vu un scénario aussi pourri. L'histoire et les personnages sont mal écrits... La réalisation est super lente par moments.

Exemples :
- La FL est un cliché ambulant : la fille gentille et super innocente, qui prêche le BIEN à des gangs de mafia, quand des balles lui sifflent aux oreilles ??? Sérieux ?
- Les mafieux (sauf les méchants qui sont morts) vont tous trouver le droit chemin ?
- Le ML qui sacrifie son amour au profit de son ex-meilleur ami ?

Bref, pour moi ce drama est un beau gâchis. Avec des acteurs de ce niveau, ils auraient pu faire un super drama...
Vous l'aurez compris, je ne le regarderai pas à nouveau (même avec un confinement de plusieurs mois :)
