A Round Trip to Love Part 2

I enjoyed the storyline.  The two main characters and their struggles bring the story together.  I remember watching and wondering why the things happened the way they did, but then I had to remember it was because of the different culture.  Homosexuality isn't as accepted as it is in the USA, so I had to understand that the way things were, the promise the mother made the son keep because parents in Asia are revered and respected.  If they tell you to do something, to go against them is heresy.  Nonetheless, I remember getting upset as I watched one of the main characters choose a life he didn't want because of his mother's dying wish.  It saddened me that he had to live a lie, but it saddened me, even more, when his ex-lover, who was still in love with him, used tricks to get him, drug him and basically do everything to him because he wanted revenge for how his heart was broken.   The story is good from beginning to end and the ending, which I hope it is renewed for a 3, but the ending is just vague enough to make you wonder if, after the ban on LGBT media, there will be a continuance of the love story between the two main characters.  I surely hope so.  LOVED this and I hope there is a 3.

A MUST for BL fans

Have to admit that this is one of the most awsome and hurtfull BL I have ever seen.
Acting: They sold the plot at maximum. I believed every word that came out of their mouths. And the main actors are as handsome as can be.
Plot: Love , Obsession and Hate. They go hand in hand, but here I see only LOVE. All the deeds done by Lu Fen are out of love and it is the same with Cheng Li.
The only thing I see in a negative way is the fact that they didn't do a part 3, to see what happens with them next. But I think leaving like this is ok too. I can imagine what will come after.
Rewatch? I've done it several times and will do it again over and over.
RECOMEND IT 100%!

Well that's another wasted hour of my life.

Let's start with the acting. Either the actors were green or the director pushed them toward melodrama. Whatever the reason, the result was middle-school histrionics on the screen. While we're on the subject of weak and the miserable; let's give a slow clap for the weakest of the weak BL plot devices poured into one script. This was arguably a romance. All I saw were two lovers who should have traded 'Babe, we're so done' post-its within the first 15 minutes. I kept hoping that it would get better and there would be a scene that made Part 2 worthy of watching, No such scene existed. Heads-up. This thing rolled past some serious trigger warnings as it zig-zagged to an ending that wasn't an ending. Why did I watch it? Because this title was featured in the MDL's Fav. Chinese Movies list. And now, I'm going to look at every other title on that list with great suspicion...

Made me kind of uncomfortable

The story was pretty good overall in the first movie so I was expecting it to be as good for the second. But due to the abuse in this movie, it made me pretty uncomfortable. I don't see how a man loves someone if he does terrible things to him. The ending was pretty sad. I wish there was another movie for this just so I could see if the man changes, but there isn't. That doesn't matter though. Some clips were good and the beginning started off good. I just don't understand why this movie has to be so different from the first movie. I don't plan on rewatching this anytime soon. But no hate towards the actors/actresses. For people who like this movie, I'm not hating towards you guys either!

the darker of the two parts

Overall: I tried to take into account that this was made in China in 2016. Note, this second part and my review has things that might be triggering.

Content Warnings: death, attempted murder, attempted suicide, rape (multiple times), kidnapping/held against will, choking, torture, non con recording, punches, injury, homophobia (internal and external)

What I Liked
- a character did obsessed well
- a character was public about things (though he should have consulted the other guy first before doing that)

Room For Improvement
- was likely meant to be the fictional bodice ripper type premise where "the mouth says no but the body says yes" however, the torture and repeated rape were not fun to watch. I did not want them together romantically.
- this thing went full soap opera including the nonsense of what happened in a swimming pool he could stand up in
- the wife and kid are barely mentioned and brushed aside
- cliffhanger ending without a resolution

I am really amaze on how the creativity of the story made. I like the overall motive of this movie. The offender admit that he is wrong in the last scene which is good part that he learn to admit of his mistake because of love. Love make us crazy sometimes. But I believe the loves depend on how we define it and how we respond to situation. Doing stuffs like rape, or any unlikely inhumane acts is not an act of love but it's a "lust" that cause of some factor of irresponsible kind of love. I believe this movie is really happening in our real life. It's hypocrite to say that we can't do crazy thing because of love. As they commonly say "too much love can kill you". People has its own definition of love depends on how they interpret it base on their experiences and learning. The movie tell us many possibilities of a situation that cause of either true and selfish love. At the end of the line, we realize that love takes time to realize it's truly love. At the beginning, we feel uncertain if it's love or lust. As the time goes by, we can have our own answer of love in the right time. I believe the movie is great and awesome. A movie that Something we can be aware of. I believe its a movie that can make you cry due to several moral lessons of what love might bring you in the end. Enjoy watching this movie.

A good laugh through and through

Don't get me wrong, the second movie in this cancelled duology was a lot more intriguing and had better more fleshed out drama. However, that helicopter plane crash ending took me out. I watched these movies just because I heard they were toxic and for ten wonderfully horrid minutes, it was and I couldn't have asked for more. That being said I can't in good faith recommend this over any other series or even films that have well more thought out characters and story. As besides the R18 scenes, which aren't even all that crazy when taken out of context, the second movie still doesn't really do anything too unique for me.

Good series until the spike drink part

The first part of this series was excellent and loves it till the end..Liu Feng is so gentle and sweet while xiao chen cute face melt my heart.

I can understand that most of Asian countries are still not accepted the homosexual relationship and almost everyone are against it..however it doesn't mean that you can spike your love one, captured and rape them. It is just wrong...they should not change Lou feng part as mean as that....if this is in UK he can be prosecuted

The series also didn't explore much about xiao Chen wife and kid...

However this part 2 still a good movies to watch if you can erase the spike part...gays relationship should not be portrayed as that

Que ironia o filme começou tão lindo e foi só ladeira abaixo literalmente, só desgraça atrás de desgraça, nem consegui chorar porque eu estava ocupada passando mal (dorama chines sempre faz isso comigo). Eu irei ler a novel pra passar mal também? com certeza.
Não vou passar pano pro sr. bonitão, ele fez merda desde o começo e continuou obsessivo, doido, e mesmo assim o xiaochen dava sinais de que gostava dele afinal, nos ultimos minutos ele ainda ficou preocupado com o anel, sem falar que se meteu na frente do tiro pra não pegar no lufeng.
Fiquei pensando porque será que não adaptaram a novel pra um bromance? seria ela tão inadaptavel que tiveram que deixar as cenas de sexo?? já vi a china transformar os casais mais boiolas em bromance de todas as maneiras possíveis.
