Yuan Qi is cornered in the imperial palace where he faces off with Jing Ping. Unbeknownst to Jing Ping, Yuan Qi has been training with Marquis Mozi and severely injured Fei Zhan. The emperor reinstates the Chang Lin name for the northern border army, regardless of the commander. Having tied up loose ends for the emperor, Jing Ping sets off to live a happy and unfettered life with Lin Xi.
