the storytelling is getting worse

the intense drama with characters we hardly know is so bad. there are too many little threads with new characters and it just feels ridiculous. loser helian zheng is weak and the woman, feng zhwei, is saving his dumb brain over and over again. that is so lame and embarrassing. it doesn't make her cool, nor is it cool to have her playing a tepid distance to ning yi. it's all so contrived and melodramatic. for a series that started off so strong, they must have lost their writer or something and it has devolved badly. really too bad.
