Save Me (2017)

Both Save Me and My Country the New Age have Woo Do Hwan in a complicated friendship that is shattered by betrayal. Of course in My Country the New Age it's the main plot, whereas in Save Me it's more tangential (and the schism is less deep).

The cult depicted in "Save Me" seems loosely based on JMS from the first two episodes of "In the Name of God: A Holy Betrayal". It shows a probable inside story of a family sucked into a cult with a charismatic leader who claims himself to be the Messiah.

Both series shares a pastor leading a cult like organization, leading people to believe in lies and covering crimes by involving past incidents that has nothing to do with an event happening in present. The lives of people closely tied with each other both Save Me and Hometown, shares horrific crimes of human beings.

Both dramas have the same male main actor (Ok Taec Yeon) and also has different type of stories..
Bring It On, Ghost is one of my favourite drama..All the characters are perfect for their role..

Both have thriller, dark theme. Save me was my favorite drama before Voice :)
I guarantee you'll like Save Me if you like Thriller/Psychological/Mystery Dramas.
Save me is deeper than Voice by 0.5 point.

Although they have different plots and stories, both dramas give the same dark vibes and deal with dark secrets.

- gives the thriller/mystery/psychological vibes
- although crime puzzle is about profiling but the cult scenes & murders gives the vibes of Save Me

Both are similar in that a large group of people is committing horrible things to innocent people/kids. Save Me has more of a supernatural/hypnosis twist to it while Kill It focuses more on combat and law. I recommend one if you've seen the other. Both are worth the watch.

Zhang Jing Yi is the FL in both. The chemistry is natural. The relationship had depth. However, BEITD does not have a satisfactory ending.

Dark Dramas.

Both oasis 1ml and save me 2ml were wrongfully accused and put to jail
Both also have angsty friendships with the other mls. They were both close and betrayed by their friends and social status

Granted both have different set ups but both also fight against an unjust system and ruler

Both are thrillers, with a female lead, at the country side. Many secrets in both dramas.

Starting with the genre of both, being of mystery and drama, having as an enemy a religious cult that performs acts of vandalism, and the mission is to discover the truth.

Both shows pit the ML against a cult:
>> In SM the ML is trying to destroy a religious cult and save one of his classmates (the FL).
>> In Voice 2, both the ML and the FL discover and try to take down a cult/group of serial killers.
