The story is very well done; with a tight script and a very natural dialogue... it does not sound contrived or clichéd as in so many of these serial productions. As a matter of fact, for a series so short as this one (only four episodes), the scriptwriter has done extremely well; to the point where the twist and revelations he or she inserts at the end of the series are among the best I have seen inside this category of movies. Truly excellent - it is my favorite part of the whole undertaking.
The acting is also very good; with as good a set of lead actors as their supporting cast. The chemistry between some them, especially the lead characters, is part of what makes this movie so enjoyable.
The rewatch value is very high for two reasons: it is a short series that one can watch inside of but a few hours. Bust also because the plot is complex enough that the nuances will soon be forgotten and you will be able to enjoy it as much as you did the first time when you see it again in but a few years time.

I think this is the best of History1, from the story that amazed me a lot to the plot that wonderfully presented.
So many quotes that I got from this series make me wonder how great the script was. Even the twist at the end of this series affect me in a huge way. I don’t even guessed that their story would end beautifully, hence I thought something sad would come eventually.
Now I am thinking about another History franchise that have higher rating than this one. However, I think I shouldn’t have high expectations yet before I watched another shows coming.

1.Obsessed
2.Stay Away from Me
3.My Hero
all three are good though but this one takes the cake.
the actor who portrayed Jiang Jin Teng was AMAZING, his acting is so believable...i can't describe him good enough that my best description will still fall short...it will still be an understatement of how convinced i am on how he portrayed his role. I am not even surprised that I find him very attractive...
Shao Yi Chen was also so well played. Can I just have them both? will be rewatching this soon. So very worth it.
highly recommended.

I started HIStory backwards I guess... I watched Right or wrong and Boundaries crossing and I knew I needed to see the rest of this series. The series os so short and I think that's hard to do because the little time to get to know the love story. In this one it's a fantastical situation in which Shao Yi Chen is heartbroken by his boyfriend and then he suffers a car accident. But he does not die... he just rebirts 10 years into his past, when he was 19 and haven't even known Jiang Jin Teng. YC is determined to not fall in love with JT but how knows? can he manipulate fate?
The plot as it is, could have been handled better it's confusing is everything is a dream or YC truly went into his past self. I get it. But the story has another good things: the chemistry between the actors is amazing, even though their relationship is kinda fucked at times, they really did a good job with the kissing and intimate scenes.
Overall I liked it. I think my biggest complain is not enough episodes to work the story, thing that is fixed in History 2 having 8 episodes per story. So glad about it.

If you’re kind of kinky you might actually love this
Okay so this has two sides for me. On one hand the story or let’s say the characters relationship was extremely unhealthy and manipulative. However on the other hand there are a lot of people that can find joy in a setting like this, desperate love, the feeling of having to have this one person (obsession truly is a good title), as long as the feelings are reciprocated. To people who enjoy this kind of theme (in the Drama world at least, not necessarily in the real world) this will be really enjoyable. I also felt like this was a nice addition to the other two storylines of History 1. To me all history parts are basically about showing different kind of loves and relationships. And obsession (as long as reciprocated) to me also deserves a place between these different kinds of stories.

I have to be really honest on how I feel on this movie. I personally love the song, there's no doubt, it's a quick 10 for me. I super love the chemistry between the two main leads, I think I'm very convinced that definitely there's this thing going on between them, I mean characters wise, not real life (In my wildest dreams, I wish there is) But anyway, what I'm really not convinced on is that the story is a little bit confusing for me. (Either because I was too tired to read the subs, or I'm at my phone gossiping about this super cute new guy who works with my best friend whom my best friend is not telling me about she's kinda afraid that I'll play my cards when she obviously saw him first, but it just happens that I also saw him the other day when I had my coffee there at her work place which kinda gave me the right to say I also saw him first) Basically it might not be the series, maybe it's me. But I just don't understand the plot. The flashbacks bothered me a lot, the major crying bothered me a lot but of course the major kissing did not bothered me a lot, that scene is definitely a 10 for me. But unfortunately because the series failed to get my attention (It might be my fault when I was watching, I think the series is beautiful and the actors are mega cute) I arrive at a final score of 8.5. But I will watch this again just so I fully understand it, minus my phone of course next to me, so I won't be distracted. Was this review helpful to you?
The vibe of the story is similar to Addicted/Heroin, but this is a bargain-basement version. The main guy is cute, but not in the transcendent way Timmy Xu is (I just felt a sledgehammer to the chest writing that, because he's so painfully beautiful).
I like that the evil girlfriend ends up being the exact opposite of that.
Anyway, it's only an hour & 10 minutes long, so if you don't like it, it's not like you've wasted a day of your life.

8 out of 10.
The plot is not realistic. All happened beacuse of simple misunderstanding that only happened on romance drama in the 80s. The characters are too many with lots of side stories for a 4 episodes drama. If this was a 10 episodes drama, it will be much better.
The story about a man died in a car accident after been told by his boyfriend (his senior from that he will married a girl. Luckily he been given a second chance and gone back 10 years when he was 19 and had not met his boyfriend. THis time he will do what it takes to not fall for his boyfriend. But can he resist the temptation?
Though the story is mediocre but the biggest plus on this series are the skinship and the kissing scenes. There are so many many many of that and more. In fact I am pretty sure this only 4 episodes drama had the most kissing scenes from any other Asia drama that ever produced. BL or non BL. Hot. hot. hot.
The chemistry of the two main actors were off the roof.
So don't watch this drama with your parents or friends that are not comfortable with lots of skinship and kissing scenes. hehehehe
The 2 songs from this series were very good and set the mood for the drama perfectly.
Rewatch value is 9. Cause its only had 4 episodes with only less than 20 mins per episodes.

I enjoyed watching this. However, there is a lot to be desired! I needed more sweet scenes between them. They were absolutely adorable during those moments and their chemistry during those sweet moments were on point. However, there were too little of them :((( I absolutely adored the part in the kitchen wherein they're just being adorable to each other. The ending was super adorbs as well. It did make me think though, isn't it tiring knowing the fact that you're reliving 10 years worth of your life like wuuuut it's sad they didn't get to tackle that. I mean, I won't be able to bear it if I have to relive 10 years of my life, especially being able to compare how your life was back then to how it is now. Like wUT. Anyway, it was still adorable. The OST was really nice, too! Was this review helpful to you?
Hard to watch
I realize that with the title called Obsessed it was intentional that we get pretty questionable characters in this. I realize dark romance is not everyone’s type of thing. For me, I know I’m trash and a degenerate but I have limits. I’m okay with dark romance as long as its self-aware. But, that’s not the case here. It’s romanticizing the relationship here with the two leads. I found it hard to watch when you see Jiang forcing himself onto Shao Yi Chen. Nothing about that is romantic yet Yi Chen resists, but also melts into it?!!! I was left shocked and very uncomfortable. Hypothetically, let’s say that none of that happened. Let’s pretend for a moment that the sexual assault doesn’t happen in the drama. It’s not a good drama. I couldn’t understand why the romantic leads even liked each other? Also going back to the main premise, I’m confused. So, Yi Chen is heartbroken and dies after running away from his lover and getting hit by a car. He gets reborn with a second chance to live his life. He vows never to fall for his lover this time around. I’m confused because he doesn’t try very hard to resist lol. Like boy!!!!!! You have no self-restraint and there are ways to take yourself out of the toxic environment! Anyway, despite all this I do like the actors. I would like to see Teddy Ren in other roles but I don’t see that he did anything after this job which makes me sad.Was this review helpful to you?

The story is interesting, in my opinion. I won't deny that some scenes were hard to watch. Honestly, why did Jiang Jing Teng do that to Shao Yi Chen in the tent? He really thought that by doing that, Shao Yi Chen would open up more to him or stop Shao Yi Chen from running away? The meaning behind the title is a cool detail (Most HIStory titles have deep meanings now that I think of it). Although I don't support such obsessive behaviors (Shao Yi Chen's behavior is tolerable since he keeps the information/facts about Jiang Jing Teng to himself), their behaviors made the story interesting.
I would definitely rewatch this drama, but not as often. Probably when I feel like watching a full BL series or drama, but have limited time.

At first I thought it would make me fell bad about the flow of the story since its BL and its not the usual type of drama that I watch.
But it turns out that it made me hooked with the drama flows.
The chemistry of the actors are really great, the way they portrayed they role will make you believe that they really love each other,This is the first time I shipped a BL couple. It's really good and I hope you will feel the way I feel when I watched it. Happy watching=).
