Ikemen Desu Ne Episode 1

now, i know what you're thinking....

my first impression of this is that the japanese A.N.Jell memebers are not as attractive as their korean counterparts with he exception of Ren (taekyung). Shu and Yuki (shinwoo and jeremy) are down right odd looking, but upon closer inspection you realize that a great deal of that is to do with bad wardrobe, hair and make up choices. nothing they have on suits them at all. the female lead, however makes a far more convincing boy than park shi hye and does it without looking like sterotypical truck stop lesbian.
this version draws you in with it's much faster pace. this AN Jell seems friendlier and more approachable, even Ren who is prickly, but starts to let his humanity show much sooner.
it is close enough to the korean version to be familliar to fans but different enough to make you wonder and guess. this first episodes will have both fans of the original and those who have never seen it coming back, for one more episodes at least.
