Episode Title: The Dubious Death
When a courtesan dies under dubious circumstances, the constables arrest her servant, Xiao Yu, despite the lack of concrete evidence. Desperate to save his childhood sweetheart, Xiao Yu’s lover, Shi Tou, enlists the help of his mistress, Ye Yuan An, a feisty girl who often dresses up like a man. She obtains a spider-like gadget from a mysterious man in her cellars and sets off to rescue Xiao Yu from prison. While they do escape narrowly, they also attract the attention of the local chief constable, Zhao Lan Zhi.
