As the evil State Preceptor finally obtains all nine Divine Beads and tries to kill Tian Shu, Yuan An stabs his heart directly from the back, forcing him to retreat. He meets the Infanta while on the run and begs for help. Instead, the Infanta beheads him without batting an eyelid. As it turns out, the Infanta has always been working for the Empress, who plans to use the Divine Beads to cement her ruling power. She appoints Tian Shu as the new State Preceptor, and he accepts despite his misgivings towards the Empress’s intentions. (Source: Viu)
