Not gonna lie -- I wasn't expecting this…

Not gonna lie -- I wasn't expecting this twist. I still don't really care about the company, but it's true human Shin wasn't the right fit for the chairman position. I'm actually really glad they didn't have So Bong end up with human Shin, which is where I thought they were going to go since most shows end up there as a solution to the issue of human/AI romance. I also appreciate that So Bong didn't "fix" human Shin -- or even try to, honestly -- like the female lead usually does. It makes sense to stay away from bad people, even if there's a reason for them being awful. I was kind of bummed the spotlight had moved away from our dynamic duo, so I'm glad they're back front and center. Though honestly, what work will So Bong even do? It's not like robot Shin needs protection, and his identity is out in the open. I was impressed by Young Hoon for making the decision to become chairman himself, since he always wanted to put Shin first, and this would surely be viewed as a complete betrayal. But at the same time, it was definitely the best decision for all involved since Young Hoon is extremely competent (I'm assuming? we haven't necessarily seen evidence of that) and cares deeply about the company, and human Shin is immature, unpredictable, and destructive. There were a lot of cliches along the long road that it is this show, so I'm glad they shrugged the expected endings off and decided to go for something more original.

As an aside, Young Hoon's outfit is ON POINT yet again. Maybe I just have a thing for varying shades of blue in different textures XD
