Fu Yao tricks Zhan Bei Ye into allowing Ya Lan into the Tai Yuan capital with them. Zhan Bei Ye tries to drive a wedge between Fu Yao and Ya Lan, but despite this, the two women form a tight bond. Zhan Bei Ye begins to suspect Qi Zhen since he does not seem alarmed to hear the bell has disappeared. Someone in Zhan Bei Ye's command betrays him, revealing the mastermind behind the plot to kill him.
